So many BUGS that it's destroying the game

Hi,

For months I have been horrified by Blizzard’s inability to prevent and fix bugs. I have been reporting the same bugs for months and they don’t get fixed.

  1. Those of you farming the Midnight mount in Legion Karazhan must have encountered the Westfall love story bug - where Toe Knee becomes immortal and your only option is to port out of the dungeon. Have been reporting it for months, nothing happens. Had to port out again every time I go to farm.
  2. In the Dawnbreaker, as a warlock, my charhound falls off the dawnbreaker or the nerubian flying ships. The charhound is one of the main dps sources for a demo warlock.
  3. When I equip the malefic rainment set as a blood elf, every time I exit the game and log back in, my character’s eyes are flashing yellow and it needs a reload to fix. The portrait normal is for them to flash red while this transmog set is on.
  4. I went to Siren Isle a while after it was launched. One of the bosses was so bugged that I couldn’t get the citrine for days - it either despawned or spawned on it’s own, it was literally impossible to do anything.
  5. A few weeks later, people abused the bug on Siren Isle that allowed for some people to get the ring to 655 while the rest of us had it on 649.
  6. At S4 in Dragonflight, for months it was spamming like crazy the guild achievements for no particular reason. It was one of the reasons that I left my guild because it was unbearable to watch this spam.
  7. I’d rather not even talk about legacy quests - had to go through the Netherwing questline in TBC, encountered so many bugs I barely managed not to laugh. One of the guys I met on the same questline asked me to help him because he was stuck on a very bugged quest. He added me on BNet so that we could make a party - we were cross faction.

These bugs were severe, some of them were never addressed no matter how many reports I made. This is an absolute disgrace and a horror show. Not to mention how slow the game was after the pre-launch of TWW. I don’t understand how people are excited for Midnight - what do you expect from this company ? That player housing will be OK ? It will be a comedy show with all the bugs…

Blizzard, you should be ashamed.

A standing bug I can think of is Expedition Islands; Undead pack. They are supposed to spawn a mini-boss once you kill the initial pack, and they do spawn them… but they are 100% unattackable, just standing there.

Been like that for an expansion or two now I think.

Nobody likes bugs. Its frustrating, especially when you can’t find a workaround.

If you class eyes flashing yellow instead of red as a severe bug I dunno what to say.

This reads a bit like “I keep spamming the crap out of somebodies inbox and then wonder why they don’t have time to actually do work”. Do you think making 86 bug reports about eye colour makes it a top prio and is conducive to getting it fixed quicker?

I’m not saying the state of the game is acceptable but the days of Blizzard giving a damn about quality seem to be long behind us. Vote with your wallet if 20 years of spaghetti code wind you up so much.

Don’t forget the Warband currency transfer bug that randomly eats your transfer every so often. I’m hoping they’ve fixed it as it hasn’t happened to me for a while but some players have permanently lost thousands of TW badges.

One of the more trivial things that is an annoyance is that in my warbank the third tab is forever stuck with ignore this tab. No matter how many times I untick it.

Not game destroying ofc. I’m not currently dealing with any bug that is actually destroying my game play.

I have not made that many reports. It’s of no use - they can’t fix anything. Even if they do, they break 10 things more for each one they fix. This is the reason I provided for cancelling my subscription when the survey popped up - I said that the game has turned into a Bug Simulator.
