So no Classic+?

So what is Classic+ then?
You think they will stop at lvl 60 and add no further content if Season of Discovery would be popular?

Season of discovery feels like they missed the mark and are doing the same problem that the retail wow team has been doing for a long time, instead of doing a server with overhauled and fixed classes, gear, questing etc they add in more systems on top to patch it over, then those systems get bloated, add more systems to fix it etc

The idea of classic+ was to go back, FIX the original flaws in the game, and then keep the game in the style of vanilla, slowly adding content (which they are doing with season of discovery to be fair) with the veto from the community etc, not just add on more systems and keep the broken unfinished talents, classes, questing, gearing to boot

I see your point but I don’t see it as a problem.
Everyone knows this won’t be anywhere near balanced. But it’s fine since it’s its own little world. Just log on and have fun.
It’s not like in Retail where everyone has 5000 hours on their character and then Blizzard drops some new convoluted system that completely screws with balance and forces people to reroll/change the specc they grew to like.

Sure, but it’s not really what people wanted. People wanted OSRS for Classic wow, instead they got Turtle WoW: Official edition

You already have this unpolished, unfinished, unxxxxx version - Era and HC servers.

Classic+ is supposed to bring new content, and class balance to the game. They are adding few signature abilities from tbc/wrath/… to the game, and I see nothing wrong with it. I see no harm in adding chaos bolt, wild growth, hand of reckoning, healing rain, ice lance, crusader strike, etc. to give more to the underperforming specs.

If we would’ve gotten convoke, vesper totem, etc. kind of stuff - then sure, it’s out of place. But simple class abilities - why not. As long as they don’t prune old ones.

I like Turtles!

So it’s reworked Classic with extra things, but isn’t Classic+??

You mean…

The Burning Crusade?

SoD looks to me as Classic+. Blizzard adds things which weren’t in Vanilla.

It may not be what you wanted classic+ to be, but classic+ it is (or will turn out to be).

The first launch is about fun and trying things out. Not everything is going to stick.
