So no one going to talk about the leaked document for class ideas by Blizz

He’'s not exactly been know for his internity of late. I’ll believe this stuff when I see it. It sounds more like the next expansion leaks we would always get that come to nothing.

Astrologian is a class in FF14. It was my favourite healer until they removed it’s bubbles to make a disc priest-like sage class.

Tinkerer, Witch, Necromancer, Bard, Gunslinger. On that order :dracthyr_a1:

The whole “Leaked Document” around this news gives it more credit than it is worth. It is/was going to be a survey. Blizzard do these now and again and always state that it doesn’t mean it will even happen, they’re just floating ideas around. Plus, it also relies on the responses.

Anyway, we do not need more classes when the current classes are unbalanced with dead specs and a plethora of other issues impacting gameplay that haven’t been addressed in years.

I think adding new specs would be better in a lot of cases. Players won’t have to level a new character to play a new spec.
Bard could be a rogue spec that does similar stuff to Augvoker.
Necromancer could be a mage spec.

Shaman could get a Aug spec with loads of party buff totems (which is kind of how I played back in TBC).

We should move away from this 3 specs per class model. Of course the golden child Druids have had 4 specs for a long time.
Shaman could have a tank spec too and have 5 specs.

Half of those classes are rip off from other mmos or dnd. Tho I’d like to roll a Bard (what a surprise), given Aug’s history I doubt they would implement it in a good state. Not to mention each of these classes also need their hero spec, which is at least double the amount of work they would have to do.

Speak for yourself, i want my goblin tinkerer

100% this, tinkerer as highest prio and then some witch/necromancer or gunslinger or so, even bard

Hopefully they will put some parts of the survey, maybe if the tinkerer got a lot of positive feedback example :dracthyr_shrug:

Looking at what a disaster Evoker is, I’d rather not have any new classes/races.

Drac’thyr have barely anly lore while having been in the “spotlight” for a whole expansion; but unlike Demon Hunters/Monks/DKs, we barely learned anything about them.

Aug spec is upsetting the holy trinity in PvE. Devastation is the unwanted step child - a mage with shorter range that everyone would prefer to be a Aug; and Preservation is heavily reliant on the positioning of teammates to work well and hence unreliable in PUGs.

There are so many wonderful concepts out there for (3rd)/4th specs for existing classes to create more support specs or give pure melee classes a ranged spec etc. (https://imgur.com/a/4th-spec-concepts-pt-1-marrow-death-knight-zeal-paladin-torment-demon-hunter-nullification-warlock-quRiJM2); Blizz should really take a look at those instead of trying to do something new; that will allow them to build on what’s already there, because thinking of new stuff obviously isn’t their strong suit.

Talking about leaked stuff on the official forums sounds like a ban waiting to happen, as it’s against the forum rules, the fact this thread still exists, says to me that nothing in this “leak” is true.

Reminds me of MMO-champion where you’d see people claiming to know what the next expansion is every other week, none of them being correct.

Think the part about it being only in german already did that. xD

One side of me says “Cool new classes”
but the brain tells me that… more classes and specs to learn about in pvp… maybe tempting to try new classes, non-zero chance all old classes will be garbage as a result as usual.
So I’d say maybe they can add 1 class every 2 expacs but please no 5 new classes at once ok? xD

Hmm, I’m not entirely sure, but wasn’t it some official survey, from which content creators then started making their own speculations and make content of it :dracthyr_a1:

Since when has this been a thing? Every time a leak is found the forums don’t shut up about them.

Posting Unreleased Content / Hacking Data Files

This category includes language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

  • Show unreleased in-game items, equipment, or areas that have been unlocked by hacking into client data files
  • Show the results of hacking or any tampering of the game’s MPQ files
  • Discuss, or display any data not available through normal game play

Idk people do that all the time when something is found and I haven’t seen anyone get punished for it.

Wasn’t it some official survey, Im not sure if its writen somewhere that people couldnt speak of surveys that are sent at them. All everyone seem to be speaking is speculations made out of official survey I mean, however so I really dont know. To me it doesnt look like leak with this information till some says otherwise

Idk this tread is the first thing I’m hearing about these classes being considered. And judging by the names of some of these I seriously hope this is not somethign being considered.

The bard? That one did made me a small smile

Blizzard seems to be walking a tightrope right now between doing the minimum possible to appease players, and totally caving to their demands, see the m+ changes.

The only interesting thing here for me is the mention of custom made spells, if this “leak” is a real thing at all.

If such a mechanic is ever implemented, I do hope they will work like the wands in Noita :fireworks:
