I really hope we get the release date of the pre-patch today, and it will be soon i am so done with the latest patch. infact i was done with it after 1 day. it is so boring, i haven’t even killed N’zoth because i just don’t care. So please Blizzard release the Pre-patch i don’t care if i have to play the pre-patch for weeks
No don’t release it early blizzard. I don’t want another unfinished expansion like Bfa
Besides a few classes BFA was 100% finished, the issue was the finished product sucked.
But the pre-patch is still a few weeks off at least, the event was awful and they still haven’t re-enabled it on the PTR.
What are you even saying? Azerite system was bad on release. They had to tweak it a lot. The first raid Uldir was very poorly optimized for a lot of systems and caused a lot of lag issues for people, Essences were suppoesd to be on launch but we had to wait a year for them. Same with the corruption system. We got everything way later than we should have. The expansion actually launched with the release of nazjatar and mechagon.
Very true. But if we wait until Blizzard to finish Shadowlands PROPERLY, we’ll be waiting until late 2021
I would expect prepatch at the end of September/first half of October and expansion in the middle of November.
Also Blizzard said that they’re gonna give us 2-3 weeks heads up before they upload and start prepatch event (so we can finish everything we want to finish in BFA before venturing off to shadowlands)
Making tweaks does not mean it was not a finished product. You’re allowed to make adjustments once it hits the market.
On the topic of Azeirte Blizzard was happy with it, it was the players that hated it. In fact Blizzard was prepared to double down on their design philiosphy vs what the players were asking for by making the reforge costs even higher.
Corruption system was never advertised for launch. The concept of the idea literally did not exist. It was simply a replacement for the removal of Titanforging.
I’ll also need a source on your claim that Azerite Essences were supposed to be available for 8.0, from what I remember the neck was simply there to control the power of the Azeirte gear.
Do not confuse your idea of BFA being “finished” with Blizzards.
WoD had massively cut content, therefor it was rushed and not finished.
BFA delivered pretty much everything they said they would.
Everything advertised in the launch feature trailer, we got.
Chances are we’re getting the date today.
Keep this tab open.
Yea sorry, an expansion which is 50% broken and where blizzard explicitly stated the design was poorly thought out is not finished. I will agree that corruption system wasn’t supposed to be on launch though, also thematically it made more sense to put that with the theme of nzoth. But lol, game was unplayable for a lot of people at launch and during Uldir, I guess you weren’t around for that.
The product was finished.
Just because it was a bad product does not mean at the time of release it was considered incomplete.
I do not understand what you’re trying to argue.
I have already demonstrated that I recall the history of BFA better than you.
I am not saying the finished product is good, I am simply pointing out that it was a finished product in the developers eyes.
Finished product does not mean you make no changes or improvements (improvements that can only be made apparent in hindsight) after it hits the market.
Nooooooooooooo i need to grind rajani and uldum reps first!
You don’t, you haven’t even raided it seems, how do you recall an expansion better than me you didn’t even play? Just keep defending your beta game, and let’s hope shadowlands launches when it’s actually completed.
20/4/2069
Explain to me what raiding has to do with literal facts? And why you think heroic raiders are the only people game wide systems impact?
I do play it.
Weird of someone hiding on a 110 alt to suddenly bring up personal achievements.
You made two false claims, to paraphrase I essentially told you to check your facts, you immediately conceded on the first false claim and ignored the second, told me I obviously don’t know BFA (when I know it better than you) and now you’re taking it personally.
It’s like you say “my car has a 2.4ltr engine” and I say “no it has a 1.6ltr engine… you can google it”
then you turn around “DUDE DO YOU EVEN OWN A CAR!? Clearly I know more than you even though yes I googled it and it is in fact 1.6 but bruh don’t come at me I’ve owned more cars than you”
You’re absolutely barmy bruv.
Because you are arguing for technicalities and I am arguing for facts, blizzard releasing a game in a beta state, and calling it finishes doesn’t make it true as blizzard admitted Bfa was rushed then we have their shills defending them
Point is Blizzard rushed bfa too fast hence why we were delayed essences for a year and azerite was poor on launch, I’ll call it incomplete because it felt that way, you can argue your technicalities ‘oh half the game cant even logon, and the raid is broken, but yea its complete !’
What are you talking about?
You made two incorrect statements passing them off as facts and I corrected you.
Again, Azeirte was not poor on launch due to them “rushing”, Blizzard was happy with it.
Why do you think another month would make them not happy with the product they were happy with and defended?
And I’ll ask again, I need a source on the claim that Azerite essences were intended for 8.0 .
BFA was not a poor launch. Two servers had issues. The majority of players were playing just fine so once again your claim that half the game couldn’t even log on is another bogus “fact” of yours.
protip: prepatch is live on PTR realm, you can go there and check it out.
frankly, there’s not much to wait towards this time. It’s not like we’re getting any big features. MOP prepatch brought battle pets (albeit no actual batting), and new talent system (and as main hunter, I got to experience removal of minimum range for the first time, felt nice to shoot something at point blank range, helped soloing immensely). WOD prepatch was meh, I don’t remember any good features (well, maybe mats stacking to 200, freeing loads of bag space. And toy box). Legion prepatch tho, transmog wardrobe was excellent addition.
Shadowlands prepatch will take away Corruption, so your characters will lose like 50% of their dps output. And there are no new features, eveyrthing new is in actual expansion (such as covenants, soulbinds, legendaries etc.)
They’ll lose a lot more than 50% with the new squish.
Not saying that’s a bad thing but our damage is going down by a lot, as is everything else.
i mean, relatively.
your 1500 haste is becoming 150 haste but it should still be roughly similar % rating.
then again, we’re losing corruption AND there’s a new penalty imposed on secondary stats, diminishing their effectiveness starting at mere 25%.
The system was finished on release, not rushed at all. It’s just that Blizz released a finished, but bad product.
Essences weren’t planned at all. They are Blizzard’s reaction to our reaction to the azerite system.
