It has been confirmed on twitter that no more realm connections will happen. If they think they are finished they are terribly mistaken. I guess this is it. Why though? I thought you wanted to make the game equally fun for everyone. But I guess micro-transactions are more of your thing, ey? Could you please give us some transfers, or are we going to have to try and find life in a dead, empty field aka our realm? Seriously now? I guess I’ll have to befriend my mount.
Tbh, the playerbase did nothing but demand to be unconnected with half the realms they ended up connected with.

All you have to do is look at realm pop and see there are a few of each faction that do well and all the rest are quite low in comparison.
Realm makes a huge difference but they’d rather you pay to transfer, call it a business model

Agreed but since that’s the case then why even bother with the realm connections at all? Either you do it properly or you don’t. And by being selective and excluding numerous realms they make their costumer base angry and less likely to pay for a transfer. The costumer’s feelings towards the company play the biggest role on whether or not they’re willing to pay more.
I don’t get the Blizzard mentality.
true, being on a dead realm really sucks. Could be that those realms had critically low numbers? Only Blizzard have the real figures and they won’t realse that information so who knows.

So sad to hear this, I would hope that they would offer free realm transfers for players on those realms which did not get connected and are still struggling as low pop.

never roll on a fresh/low pop realm. always go high.
Do realm connections actually fix this? My old realm got overflooded with Czech players and they decided to connect this realm to another czech populated realm.
Our realm was connected to high pop polish realm couple months ago and now since prepatch every day english and polish people still fight each other. Pretty much all english raiding guilds are dead here now too. I guess atleast AH is bit better. Though trade chat is 99% polish spam.

back to topic: I am actually surprised to see the way they end up the realm connections. It seems to me that it it half done.
Oh well… Maybe I had higher expectations.
In all honesty. I doubt it otherwise they wouldn’t make levelling new chars so easy. If they actively were trying to push it they’d make it hard to move chars etc etc
The problem with connecting realms remains.
They were unstable and incredibly buggy, several times failed to happen and there was multiple conflicts and not only because of language
You had the server in America which demanded to not be connected for the lgbt community.
The connections simply weren’t working for multiple reasons.
I did try call myself Executie but sadly taken friend.

Realm connects were born to fail.
They didn’t work the first time round they won’t now.
I remember when dentarg got connected with one of the servers the two pops hated one just because of “server individuality”
They should of just directly given everyone on a low pop server a free transfer to any medium pop server and simply removed transfers to realms once said realm reached high pop.
This would of just given players the ability to transfer to the other server and choose where they go 🤷🤷 but can’t trust blizz with these 500 IQ moves
You don’t fix pipes when they are broken, you do it when they are leaking so you still have a chance.
This decision is the equivalent of waiting til they are broken.

Tbh in my case I’m happy to stay as it is.
Seeing how the merges went on other servers, I wasn’t looking forward to it.
One of the reasons that made me leave Draenor was because I couldn’t stand the boosting chat spam.
I don’t enjoy big populated servers, tbh.
I don’t like being spammed with Guild invites, just because my characters don’t have a guild.
That’s reason I went back to Kul’Tyras.

That’s actually not what it said at all.
Answering a question they said ‘if more are planned they will be announced on the forums.’ The tweet was from CS EU and therefore not from the people actually doing the connections in the US and was, I imagine, based on the fact that no more have been announced.
There were problems, but after the launch of SL, they may be able to give a bit more time to working on connections that don’t cause problems technically.
Aggra should never have been connected to the English cluster on the first place. Portuguese has more in common with the Spanish language. The English cluster is the dumping ground of failed language servers.

but u had this about Proudmoore US Based on “LGBT communities not wanting to be lost”…
this litterally extended to every minority demanding to not be connected. u had 100 reasons why servers were going directly against this.
