So sick of having to change azerite traits each time I switch spec

Like couldn’t you put some automated system with saved values instead of having to remember and go through and click every single trait each time? Not to mention it’s so slow. This is torture.

Buy another set of azerite items, set up your equipment set so that it equips the alternate set when switching specs. No more trait switching required, and everything’s automated.

At the cost of a bit of bagspace.

I use separate sets of gear for each of my specs. Not just azerite, the entire gear is different.

Just have 3 sets of gear in your bag like the rest of us, m8.
Blizzard can’t seem to make new systems that aren’t annoying or convoluted.

You need a set of azerite for every spec. If you just change specs, you lose a lot of power because some traits are definitely spec based that you can’t use in the other.
It’s torture because it’s not an intended way to play.

Be careful what you wish for. If they take that seriously they might remove the few stats that are left aswell and reduce everything down to ilvl.

Yes you would only need 1 set then. But where’s the fun in that.

Well the solution to azerite was to make it be unlocked and allowed you to save pre-sets: ST DPS, AOE DPS, M+, Dailies… etc whatever you want.

Not really hard to come up with a simple solution for the issue.

But sets were always just for a specific spec and I think that’s good.

I personally wouldn’t want someone that farmed his dps set to have the best tank set aswell. Sure he can use some parts of his dps set, but he shouldn’t be able to use all of it.

It’s usually easier to farm the second set for the off sepcs anyway, but I wouldn’t want someone that aimed to get a good dps set first be as good gear wise when tanking as someone that prioritized a tank set.

Well things are not like that anyway, so your fear isn’t well pointed in this case.
Gear has different azerite traits, some are good for tanking some are good for dpsing. I think not many have the same bis pieces for both.

The issue is about switching fast in this case, thus the solution is to allow us to save presets for the azerite trait choices.

“A bit”? For those who partake in both PvE and PvP, and play multiple specs, that’s A LOT of bag space.

The point I was trying to make is that I think if you want to be super optimized for every situation you should go the extra step to gather different sets for that.

You got a point with different bis pieces for different specs and maybe even st/aoe. But in that case you would need multiple sets anyway.

Well yes, if you want bis pieces, you spend time and gather them.

The OP is about switching between his traits, so that means resetting them.
After that he has to manually select each and every one of them for his new area of focus. That’s his issue.

The point is to allow presets so that he doesn’t have to click ability A2 then B1 then C2 etc for all 3 of his azerite gear he has.

It is a lot. I think for me it’s 40 bagslots for replacements currently.

But what is the alternative? I really wouldn’t want every spec to use the same values. The secondary stats are already pretty dumbed down. I wouldn’t want equip becoming ilvl only.

Yeah i got that part. I just think it’s not intended for switching it around all the time. I think you should be optimal in one spec first and farm a second set for the other spec.

Unless you do really high end content I would argue you can go with wrong azerite traits in your offspec until you get enough resources for a second one.

I think a saved preset solution should be possible with addons (not sure if it has been done or not). But changing traits often will get super pricey very quick.

Yeah, that would matter more if switching was affordable beyond the first times you do it. Idk if there are addons customed for this.
I personally don’t change traits at all, only gear.

Hell i even got a speed set, 162% base movespeed is really nice when doing old raids. xD

I have about 60 pieces of equipment in my bags at all times, basically two full bags. I bank the stuff I don’t immediately need - and if I do, I’ll either visit a bank, or pop Jeeves and retrieve the things I want. This way, I have the most important things with me at all times, and still have plenty of space for random stuff.

Not seeing how bag space is an issue, even with having many sets always in bags. At some point, I used to have even more sets, but then I banked the ones I rarely used, and only bagged them when I needed.

Do note that the topic was about azerite traits. Even for druids who play all four specs, that’d be 12 slots total. Compared to everything else, that’s quite negligible.

For each spec I have a different gear set. And then it’s split up again between aoe/st/cleave and raid/dungeon/pvp.

What are you complaining about?

Olny playing 1 specc is a good solution i guess xD
