It’s good to see someone who knows stuff about diablo besides trading PGMs for shako in OP-lol1.
I had tons of stuff like really a lot. 1.08 valkyrie, bt, bb but it all disappeared on 11.11.2008 when the biggest d2 ban wave happened. Obviously I’D NEVER CHEAT in any game cause I am very competetive and I value integrity but my younger brother (he was like 11 at the time) was using my steam and battle net accounts. My 1st steam is vac banned and d2 accounts were gone on that dreadful day :DD
one last thing:

After the absolute monstrosity that they did to wc3 there is not a chance in hell i will ever pre order a remaster from them ever again.
I’ll wait till way after release to decide, i’ll be honest it doesn’t look like it will be anywhere close to as bad as what they did with reforged since they won’t straight up delete a game this time even if it fails.
But they will never regain my trust, it’s disgusting how bad they’ve handled it, just pretending it doesn’t even exist anymore.
We would love to pretend it doesn’t exist either blizzard, give us old wc3 back.

Not going to play with 2 Skill Bar Slots. If it had like 12-24 like WoW definately would. Sometimes graphical update just isnt enough if gameplay is 1-2 buttons.
As it should be.
They’ll probably tie in early access to pre-purchasing eventually.

My 2 cents on this - I also found it a bit odd when browsing the shop , both that Blizzard didnt do it and that I was looking out for those cross promo goodies (guess we were expecting it by habit). In a way, my next thought was that they are actually having more faith in this project so they dont need to sugarcoat it to boost pre-orders. In addition, this would also make some business sense given the headaches that involved the refunding of WC3:Reforged.
The thing is for some of us it is good as it is and know ing nowaday Blizzard they gonna f*** up and I and many will still prefer the original.
You cannot remake such piece of art especially since they do not need to be fixed any decent sorc play can take on a hammerdin any decent barb versus caster too, sin etc…
There is something about the D2 lod community than doesn’t exist anymore in the wow retail one I remember people grouping to pass each difficuty no matter we would never see each others again , people dropping you gear, dropping gear in the same game etc… Yu are not gonna see things like that in wow retail…
there was a lot of skill involved in playing any of the spec. unless you were destroying pub duels with far cast javelin cause you were a lowlife moron.
Diablo 2 had also a lot of scammers like good luck getting paladin torch or good anni before you could put them in trade window. People rollbacking poorly rolled annis and selling them as unid, duping, bots, toxic pvp community. It was still amazing though. Noobs helping each other in public chatrooms, more advanced players creating their own communities and channels. Idk I think a lot of people will come back to diablo 2.
Wow on the other hand is a casual game for karens and old dudes whining about nose customization for their human character while they wear full plate helmet. yikers

The graphics are fine, but the movements and animations are very outdated and they would have to significantly improve that if they want to attract a wider audience. D2 music is a masterpiece

They tried to attract a wider audience with Diablo III and they nearly killed whole franchise following up with that meme Immortal.
The closer D2 remaster is to its ancestor,the bigger success it will have since vast majority of its oldschool playerbase couldnt care less for a more ‘shiny’ with better animations game.
If the basic mechanics-core gameplay,stats-affixes-runewords-breakpoints stay like in the old D2 followed up by a graphic hd overhaul like in the videos we saw,then it will be godly.
the thing is d3 was really good on release. they also promised pvp so I got really jebaited by blizzard. Then they removed trading which was 1st big strike, refused to develop good pvp and then added terrible, truly awful rifts aka loot piniatas. Diablo game without trading, meaningless loot and truly boring gameplay.

I know, but I would love to see more modern animations. The characters move/run as if rushing to the toilet 
then we should hope d4 wont be a fiasco like d3. They promised trading but they also said during Q&A that some items might not be tradable. Just let people trade…

I kinda understand that. And as for D4, I can’t wait for that game to come out. I was literally blown away when I saw the new class, graphics, animations and it will have pvp content. I can’t ask for more 
Do you play poe? They really have to step up their game if they want to compete with Path of Exile. The only issue PoE has is that it requires 2 PhDs to play the game. Extremely noob unfriendly game.
