So the Jailer is Thanos

And the 5 sigils are the infinity stone?

OK then.

Yeah…It’s just…awful. You could get a sixteen year old goth to have written a more credible and believable story about the realm of the dead.

Goodbye little one.

This is an insult to Marvel writers.

+1. He just wants to undo reality, which means disband covenants and give us a new talent row instead.

More than that! BURN IT! BURN IT ALL!
After 4 months away i am already tired on day 9 of my playtime. After observing whats in store this patch I feel like a longer vacation will do me even more good.

If only. .

Marvel is an insult to fiction

The Jailer is more like Morgoth Bauglir from Tolkien’s writings. The guy just wants power over all of creation. The Jailer is kind of in the same ballpark. He just wants to dominate all of the cosmos.

The sigils? Plot devices. Kind of wish Blizzard had fleshed them out more. It was the same with the Pillars of Creation in Legion. Those felt sort of random and weird as well.
If the standard for cool and powerful object in Warcraft is The Skull of Gul’dan or The Demon Soul, then both the sigils and pillars were rather meh. But they’re just plot devices, so whatever. :yum:

Jito, I might sometimes disagree with you, but… you’re damn spot on this time. The “sigility stones” as plot device feels almost like the story was written the night after visit Avengers in cinema.

The pillars in legion had a little bit more depth and relationship to the lore and zone. In SL, other covenant sigils were totally irrelevant for me. Literaly plot devices totally irrelevant for my whole campaign, and many months after.

Winter queen could have hidden the sigil into one of the fairies, or Ursoc, … just dont hide it in the exact center of your base where everyone would look for it. There is high level of craftmanship written into SOME elements of the story and then there comes something so blatantly obvious and cheap like that.

I’m not replying here to mindlessly hate the story, It just I know blizzard can do better. They did much better in the past.

This is too tempting

Well…

Imo it’s closer to the Jailer being the lich king’s lich king. That’s basically the same thing beside the arthas backstory.

  • LK themed armor ? Check
  • Wants to destroy all life so that he may rule over all beings for a not completely evil purpose ? Check.
  • Was exiled on a hellish place ? Check
  • Is playing with sylvanas’s soul ? Check
  • Rule over undeads ? Check
  • Is playing around with Dreadlords ? Check

I mean I could go on and on but imo that’s just the writters trying to create a new lich king but on the cosmic level. They took parts of what made Arthas the LK, created some kind of God of death with these attributes & created the lore surrounding this new character.

Clearly didn’t work as well but SL doesn’t have a highly successful RTS to introduce its characters & lore.

PLEASE BLIZZARD … PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN AND WHEN HE CLICKS HIS FINGERS, JAINA IS REMOVED FROM REALITY. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU … HERES YOUR CHANCE TO REMOVE HER COMPLETELY.
DO IT
DO IT
DO IT

gods, please let this happen please please please im beggin you please please.

Who else is getting that weird feeling that this is cataclysm all over again but on a much bigger scale? (implying Blizz is gonna drastically change the game world if The Jailer succeeds)

I’d welcome it personally.

It might reinvigorating for the game.

I dunno. I like the world as it is (as in i like doing old content and farm tmogs and mounts) If The Jailer is gonna destroy everything and remake it that sure does sound like my gameplay is gonna be affected…Unless they give us the ability to switch between versions then that’s cool.
