I’m thinking that the jailer is the titan of death bound to eternal servitude and stuck in the Shadowlands just like hades. And I’m guessing the maw is the manifestation of Mue’zalha or a portal powering up to summon him.
Sylvanas had made a pact with the titan hence her new powers in the hopes she will free the jailer who will tear down reality as we know it with Mue’zalha being the forboading presence we have to stop.
Just a theory but I wouldn’t be surprised if some of it comes to pass.
What if Sylvanas’ actions were actually intended to cause the maximum amount of death possible? The jailer is not Sylvanas’ master, but who is this mysterious Jailer? They are partners with a common end.
We have titans for all aspects of the game but we ar eyet to see the tiran of death or even have one confirmed this is a possibility and a good explanation of who or what the jailer is.
Titans are immortal beeings and probably never got the concept of death. So why should some titan try to master it? There is absolutly no need for a Titan of death.
To get revenge why does any one. Gul’dan mastered fel to make the world suffer. Why not a titan use his own jail to get revenge upon the ones who put him there?.
Think of it like Greek mythology zeus put hades in hell hades tried to get revenge tried to overthrow the gods (the pantheon) and rule the world and plunge it in to darkness. Aman’Thul put the jailer (the death titan) in the Shadowlands and now he wants out and sylvanas is going to help him so they can both plunge the world in to darkness.
Also Ion, I think is his name, mentioned this tower in the center of the maw predates titans and is of unknown origin and style. Doesn’t speak for titan as well.
I also don’t see a problem Death just being death.
