So the NE aren't getting their capital back ?

No. Only small majority cares about them, so they are obviously not worth the effort. And it’s not their fault that they’re to small to be seen in cinematics.

Imo they should start by making the small races actually cute and likeable.

Goblins are awesome, but gnomes… gnomes are hideous.

Now they’re giving them amputee diaper gnomes :face_vomiting:

I have given up caring about whatever atrocities happen due to the faction conflict…

Not to mention that Darnassus was founded on a lie by Fandral.

Livia can I show you the Suramar? We can have a walk in our beautiful city. Get drunk with Arcwine :clinking_glasses:

I kinda like you…

Well too many annoying guards that bother people in there I can already hear them spaming I have PTSD again.

“An illusion what are you hiding”.

Maybe for you but for us we have special “starting zone” map where there are no guards

Agreed. There should be more Worgen/Gnome/Goblin towns…and dwarves…you hardly see any dwarven things…like where is their leader in all the conflicts?!

Mileage varies.

I like them both. Pref goblins are they have this “roughness” and classless demeanour which I like. But I think both are cool.

I totally get they’re not popular, I just don’t think that’s a good reason to ignore them in narrative terms. I’m not asking for the world, I’m asking for a small island.

Surely it must occur to other players that prefer more popular races (humans, elves,) that not everyone shares their views. Don’t you think we get bored of exploring elven ruins every single expo, killing yet more elven spirits and being reminded about highborne society for the umpteenth time.

I know when nazjatar was teased I was excited. Then half of it is just more ghost filled elven ruins. So sick and tired of it every time. I get elves as popular and such bit my god, It would be nice to have just a bit of difference once in a whole.

That is instantly why mechagon was better in my eyes. Because its actually different. We haven’t had gnomes and tech in the story main since yonks. Last time we were being reminded of elves and their magical past? Suramar. Before that? Black Rook Hold, Val’Sharah, Azsuna. Before that? Hyjal and Vash’jir, various ruins in the Dragonblight, Crystalsong, elves all over Zangarmarsh, Terrokar, several zones in classic. Yeah. A few expos we had a break from it, and then Legion literally gave us 3 whole elf zones. Just wow.

That Teldrassil thing is still bothering me. I would love it, if Chromie had an interesting questline to turn back time and to prevent this atrocity from happening.

A second option would be to make Teldrassil regrow by some op druid magic. I can even see NE druids and Tauren druids teaming up for that.

Ah, I have only been back to WoW for 5 or 6 weeks after a gap of around 10 or 11 years, and since the “lore” is unimportant to me I’ve never bothered to catch up with it. I’ve no intention of doing so either, since it makes no difference to how the game is played on my part. Great for those interested in it, but it’s hardly great literature.

i can feel you but probably without the lore around arthas, the lich king and the fall of lordaeron i wouldnt have played wow.
The most epic moment of the game imho are lore related… The death of arthas, Varian sacrifice, the helmet broken… the suramar questline: is like cheese on macaroni (cacio sui maccheroni).

If Night Elves want their city back they should get in line. How many years it’s been since we lost Gilneas?

Maybe. But Teldrassil is different. I had no connection to Lordaeron, but Teldrassil was where I started to play WoW. I still like to return there now and then. Rut’theran Village, Aldrassil, Dolanaar, Darnassus.

I almost took it personal what the writers did there. It’s total BS if you ask me. Sorry for the expression. I do not know what the hell they were thinking.

Indeed we have several displaced races in the game. :frowning:

And he’s getting redeemed. Because let’s face it TBC Lore didn’t make sense at all. I mean compare his TBC characteristics to Wc3. Him joining the Legion made no sense.

No he didn’t. He made Teldrassil because he wanted to regain his immortality back.

Arthas? He pretty much destroyed more Kingdoms on Azeroth than the Burning Legion. And killed more people on Azeroth than the Burning Legion did too.

Medivh? He’s the reason the Orcs even invaded Azeroth and razed Stormwind. And why we had the first and second wars.

Kel’Thuzad? I mean he’s the originator of the Cult of the Damned, and he’s the creator of the plague of Undeath.

These 3 are worse than everyone on your list except for maybe Azshara.

I have played a LOT of mmorpgs in the last 20 years and the background to all of them is pretty much generic. Big bad evil creature with too many consonants in their name wrecks most of the world in their attempt to rule it, only to be thwarted at the last moment by a desperate alliance of races in an epic battle. You, as the hero (yeah, and the 1,000,000 other players) have been chosen to blah, blah, yadda, yadda.

I know the drill like the back of my hand by now, and the games are just as enjoyable to me without paying attention to all the cliche plots behind them.

Omg, I thought I am the chosen one. :joy:

Nooooo! I, too, have proved my worth, Odyn. I am God-King tesla! These mortals dare not challenge my claim to be the chosen one!!!

It’s a real shame the Worgen don’t have Gilneas back again, considering the Alliance controls EK atm. They should’ve tied the heritage armor questline with getting Gilneas back, and attempting to settle in. Missed opportunity there.
