So the visions were only made easier for high level cloaks?

So I had my cloak at 9…was one run short of a full 10 but then I saw the update:

We’re working on a set of hotfixes to the game that should streamline upgrading your Legendary cloak via Horrific Visions.

We now have some specifics to outline. Once again, these changes will come into effect with scheduled weekly maintenance:

Coalescing Visions

• Visions of N’Zoth Daily Quests now reward 30% more Coalescing Visions.
• The main N’Zoth Threat now rewards 2500 Coalescing Visions (in addition to a Vessel of Horrific Visions).
• Lesser Threats now reward 6500 Coalescing Visions.

Quests to Increase Cloak Rank

• For Rank 13, the Quest now requires 4 Torn Pages (was 6).
• For Rank 14, the Quest now requires 6 Torn Pages (was 12).
• For Rank 15, the Quest now requires 8 Torn Pages (was 18).

So I deleted the quest which still said I had six pages…so Wrathion gave me six more pages…and I only get one of the pages each corrupted area. My new druid has to get two or more pages now from 7 to 8 and does not get more than one corrupted page per area.

So its only been reduced for high level cloaks? Or is this a bug?

On those cloak levels you get now from every area a page, so you can get 4 from 1 run. Instead of max 2 pages before.

First off, I’m not a male. And second…if the rank 13 cloak now takes four pages, why does the 9 to 10 rank take six yet? And I did deleted the quest and reclaim it…still wanted six pages from 9 to 10.

so if the changes were done to help level the playing field why did Blizzard only drop the requirements for the higher ranks and not the earlier ones?

oh and btw…the requirements to get from lvl 10 to lvl 11 is eight pages now.
That’s what they want for rank 15 now.

So either Blizzard didn’t care about those under lvl 13 or its a bug that the lower tier ranks were left the same.

They doubled the amount of pages you can get, from 2 per run to 4.

Up to 4 Torn Pages of “Fear and Flesh” quest items can now drop in Horrific Visions from objectives on the rank 7-11 Legendary cloak upgrade quests (was a max of 2).

• You’ll need to clear more than two sides areas in one run to get more than two pages. The rank 13-15 quests will still drop a max of 2 pages, only from Lost Area objectives.

The visions have 4 zones and 1 boss. There are 2 corrupted zones and 2 lost zones. The lost zones are harder with more sanity loss than the corrupted ones.

You get your pages from ALL zones. So you can get 4 pages per run. This was before max 2. The 13+ levels only give pages from lost zones, the harder zones. With a maximum of only 2.

why would they nerf higher level ranks and not the lower ones, especially if Blizzard was trying to make things easier (or what I was told was that Blizzzard wanted to make it easier for new players to catch up)?

They did. Before you could only get maximum 2 pages per run. Now you can get 4. You get double the amount of pages now. They made the catch up there. You are only quoting the wrong patch notes. You missed the one where they nerfed/boosted (whatever you want to call it) lower visions.

There are 2 different books. One requires pages from hard zones only. One requires pages from medium and hard zones.

They let you obtain 4 med+hard pages a run, which effectively halved the runs needed during the 6-12 cloak ranks.

Then they halved the actual number of pages for the Hard only page runs, which also halved the runs needed.

It takes half what it used to in terms of runs to level your cloak, it was just done in 2 different ways.
