So this was Remix?

As a player who missed out on MoP Remix i was really hyped for Legion Remix and everyone kept repeating how awesome it would be. But now that the last phase has rolled in, i have to say that i’m pretty disappointed. Sure, all the mounts are allright… but i never actually felt powerful, and it was all just a big grind for scraps.

Am i out of touch with what’s fun in WoW these days, or was this just not very good?

yeah this one cant even be compare to mop remix, sadly they choose to go for the wrong way and lose all the fun mop remix had…

this last phase is definitely a joke from them like in your face…

I just don’t get it, had i known how unfun Legion Remix would be i would have paused my subscription until Midnight. This was definitely my last Remix.

It’s really difficult to compare the two. The buta that jump out to me that make legion remix significantly less fun are:

  • the grind. In MoP remix we were able to max out our gear fairly quickly and easily. Not so in legion remix. Getting to 740 can be a pain due to the RNG nature, whereas MoP remix allowed us to upgrade gear. 999 vers just sets a target for the players to shoot for, it’s the carrot that keeps us on the treadmill.
  • alt unfriendly. While it’s super easy to level an alt to 80, no one wants to repeat the grind again. Makes it really challenging to play around with different classes.
  • time gating was a bad decision.
  • artifact abilities are really boring. The gems in MoP remix were much more fun IMO.

It’s a microcosm of the modern game. MoP was before a whole bunch of modern game concepts, there were no world quests, no mythic+, etc. I’m fairly ambivalent about this in retail, but in remix, with the fast cadence it just feels like a hamster wheel.

I truly don’t know what people are talking about when they say they don’t feel powerful here, but they were so uber duber strong in Pandaria. In MOP remix we killed every boss under 10 sec just like here. I don’t see the difference apart from during the first couple of weeks we had to do frog farming because we barely got enough bronze and threads.
And to be honest if you only do remix to one shot everything you should play retail. You can do the same thing there too and you don’t even have to farm for it anything.

in mop remix second week i could solo heroic dungeons, 3rd week solo normal raids and 4th week solo heroic raids, and i have gone and finish my main then go for alt leveling, all my alts carrying the full power from my main, it was a power fantasy.

Lemix i cant solo any raid even after 2 months, with the same amount of gameplay, i could find a group and pay them money to carry me on m+ to get versa but not interested so limited to tiny player power they given to us

and on top of that alts are not stronger or anything, you have to grind everything from scratch for alts which is ridiculous, thats why no one is playing alts (except some hardcore gamers, which is ok but not for everyone)

It was just like the anniversary last year, just fell flat and made me stop playing.

We had to much fun in MoP I guess.

I could do the same thing here as well. I’ve got maxed out gear wise in 5 days. What are we even talking about?

  • In Mop you barely got enough bronze and threads for weeks.
  • The only valid source of these resources were raid grind (which was super unfun due to unskippable roleplay) and world bosses.
  • You had to spend bronze on gear upgrades. Alts had the same issue for a very long time.
  • The minimum XP buff you were able to “transfer“ to alts was 100% for some reason even if your main had twice as much.
  • The “fun and strong“ part was: everyone spammed lifeforce and stood under the boss.. giga fun gameplay….

They improved upon these in the last month or so yes. At the end you were able to level up alts quite fast, but the same thing can be said for Legion as well.
If you can’t solo a raid today even though you played every day is a you issue. I maxed out my IP weeks ago (and like I said my gear the first 5 days lol) with only a couple of hours of play every day. The only raid that is remotely hard is Antorus Mythic and thats it. The others are perfectly soloable. Not to mention you will get a huge buff gear wise tomorrow…

they fixed mop remix and then took everything multiple steps back, that is the problem, and nothing here can change at this point. Are they gonna make IP warband bound now? people will go mad cuz everyone gave up already, adding more grind(which they did) nobody cares..

lemix was such a weird stance from developers against player founded fun, they refused to let players have their fun and wanted to keep players locked in a specific play style which is the carbon copy of retail play

and again it shows on how no one is playing lemix while mop remix was heavily populated both in game and on livestreams etc. until the last minute!

No I don’t think so. I didn’t read anything remotely close to that in the change logs.

For me legion remix was a better version of the dull and tideous pandaria one. They fixed pretty much everything I’ve had issue with and they even put in m+ which was a really great move. Sure you can’t max out a second character, (unless you start grinding again) but why would you? There is no point.

Right, because frog and dalaran farmer nerf back in the day was not it right? I feel like we are playing two different games or you just making stuff up. In legion you can farm raids/m+ dungeons/OW content/Sentinax. You can choose what you want to do. What could you do in Pandaria? Raid and world boss. I don’t know which one is more controlled playstyle wise.

Quite a lot of people playing remix still, so again I don’t know what are you talking about.

i think the problem lies in here, everybody loved pandaria remix and wanted the same experience, you didn’t liked it and wanted something different.

This one was clearly made for you, but it wasn’t what made mop remix fun, hence why majority of people are not happy with this..

I was hoping for more when they announced “catchup”

Remix is horrible grind that killed my interests completely, i only leveled 1 character and im not even vers maxed yet.

Bronze grind is even worse, while during leveling it was going good, as soon as you run out of quests only raids remain and how many times you can run a raid before you’re sick of it.

As much as i hated Pandaria exp, Panda remix was much better.

Huuuuuuuuuh ?

I feel ultra powerful with my 999 DH

My rogue with 300 versatility does not. Farming bronze is still a chore and not fun at all.

MoP Remix was better. This time they got the player retention “experts” involved and made it respect your time a lot less.

Yeah, I was like… mkay this last phase is a nothingburger but hey then I get to deal with the heritage achis on the horde side. But for santa’s sake we cannot even get the heritage achis done. I dinged 50 with my Vulpera just to realise that I’ve got to convert my toon to retail to get the achievements and the heritage armor sets…

Yeah I want out of Remix now, I dont want to grind more ilvl, sadly I have to wait until the fix the conversion.

I think it’s guaranteed at this point they will only leave lemix at the end of event mop remix style.

There is no respond to the backlash about this matter, no recognition of it or working on it type of response from the team, in fact team is silent since the event released so, expect no changes, lets just hope we can at least bring them in to retail at some point….

For me it was ok. I played longer than intended.

I eventually decided to go to 999 and had some fun (a week or so) in raids from 500 to 999.
And I also decided to get all the classes to 80. Still have Shammy, DK, DH to go.

And finally I’ll see how far I can push M+ solo with the incresed ilvl.

For me so far (not played much) and as some one who didn’t play mop remix, it’s fun but a lot of the time at least in dungeons and hc.s. Feels like a running simulator as the op demon hunter tank basically solos every thing. Cool mounts and transom but it’s so face roll at least in my small experience. just a great way to level alts.
