Realy not a zone for me. Dont like all these undergrund zones in war within
I like the music, I hate the aesthetic and the entire zone makes me a bit motion sick. Haven’t even tried the car. I think it might be the lighting. Not really enthused about adventuring in a garbage dump, tbh.
Its fantastic but blizzard forgot to add an auction house :S? How can anything goblin not have an AH hope they change it fast
It does have a BMAH though.
Yeah thats a step in the right direction hopefully they add a trade auction house vendor its the least you would expect in a goblin city tbh aha
Ah, cheers! My bars are set to invisible if there’s nothing in it. I’ll get to fixing it!
And a bank
the map is awesome. hope they will introduce similar “gnome city” in the future.
The map is awesome, but too small. You can drive from one end to the other in like 20 seconds…
The zone looks nice, even tho a little smaller. The car mount is great and love just driving around the place.
One thing that is lacking for me is any sort of daily content or progress. I have played it a bit more on first two days, have all of the quests, treasures and rares etc… and the zone is dead for me for the rest of the week outside of world quests which are done in a few minutes.
In the past this was solved by power grind systems which made us play the game and know the zones like the back of our hand because we had to. Now there is the opposite, there is nothing to do with any even a little meaningful reward on the daily basis.
- S.C.R.A.P Heaps - tiny amount of crystals and valorstones (small chance of a mount)
- Car Job event - only worth weekly for the quest
- Rares - rep from them is weekly, otherwise not so interesting rewards
It’s not that I don’t like the patch (the season has not even started yet), but the open world for me personally lacks any meaningful content.
Ok after a few days of playing around the zone, I’m ready to give a bit of feedback. First of all I do not like the goblin aestethic, that being said I do think that the zone does that aestethoc very well, also the zone does feel like a city (more so than Suramar).
The music is somewhat fitting for the zone, but somehow not fitting for WoW (it’s weird problem Blizzard keeps encountering).
The DRIVE mechanic os mixed bag for me. I will always preffer dynamic traversal over regular MS increases, but on the other hand I will always preffer flying over grounded movement. I also don’t like that mounting the car opens up a “mounted combat” bar instead of just adding the car abilities to our action bars like we do with skyriding (I have already made a post with a possible solution). Also the drift function feels a bit unintuative, now this might just be me because I was not paying attention to what the talking head said or the quest text, but I did have to google how to drift.
Another issue I encountered was that you get presented with “do jobs” quests and meta events, however you cannot complete them before you complete the intro quest for the system even though the “get job” button is right there on your bar glowing. This is not a huge issue, it was just something that I found a bit weird with how it was presented and I do think it will cause some confusion to other players like me who had the “titorial quest” get burried in their quest logs with all the busy work.
Overall thoughts I feel like it’s above average for OW content, but it’s still OW content and has no long term engagement.
First time in all my years of playing wow i did turn off the music
Did you not like the music in general or does it not feel like it fits the game?
The zone is very laggy. It’s even more nightmarish on low powered machines since the performance drain is due to NPC density. Slow CPU’s be strugglin’.
The car handling is kinda bad and un-fun; it needs looking into.
This is no excuse by no means, but lag, bugs and performance issues are pretty much a given with new content.
I logged in on reset day, did the first chapter of the campaign, unlocked the teleporter and car. Didn’t log in at all yesterday.
Seriously considering whether I can get away without finishing the campaign or doing any world content this season.
I just don’t like the aesthetic. I don’t like the Vegas/GTA vibe, I don’t like exploitative capitalism, I don’t care about cars and frankly, the goblin jazz is kind of… not good jazz.
And all of that is a matter of taste. I’m assured the dailies are well designed and the stories are good and the driving is fun. The visuals are… intricate, and done with love.
But you can hand me a plate of the most delicious brussels sprouts known to man, lovingly cultivated, organically grown, cooked to perfection, and the truth is I still don’t like sprouts and there’s no level of presentation and preparation that can change that. The way to make me like a plate of sprouts is to get rid of the sprouts and replace them with something else.
So it’s a miss for me, sorry. I genuinely have no criticism of the zone, the quests, the faction cosmetics; I think they’re quite well done, if you like that kind of thing. It’s all just so diametrically opposite of any place I would want to be that it’s actually challenging to deal with. I feel tired and worn down just having my character march around it.
There’s no motivation at all to log in until the raid and dungeons open up. I hope 11.2 doesn’t require us to have done the 11.1 campaign because that will be a roadblock.
Still good feedback. I get that the goblin fantasy doesn’t appeal to everyone.
Propably not the same but if I where to compare. Renown factions I guess? Azj-kahet and the rest of the expansion pack progress we all can do. Would be my nazjatar comparison.
I know thats very weak… since it comes no where close to what Nazjatar was back then. But still
Great music, love the ambiance, haven’t done many quests, but yeah, another crowning jewel for their art team. I’m impressed. And the music, my wife is crazy about it. I had to record it on her phone so she can listen to it.
I even like the new car. It’s kind of fun.
One thing I feel like it’s missing and that is a proper race track to drive that car around. It feels like the speedy car feature is wasted in a zone like that were you can’t really go crazy with the car due to so many obstacles.
Otherwise, yeah, looks like a very good patch.
