So Undermine is here! What do we think?

I love the vibe of it, reminds me a lot of the sly cooper games for some reason.
But damn i do feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of quests and points of interest flooding my screen at the same time, its almost too packed.

That does not bode well for me, I often feel rather similarly on what you like regarding aesthetics and atmosphere. I’ll give it a test run tomorrow and hope I can find redeeming qualities

I am so happy its not just me thinking these.
Yeah usually at least the music was good. But not this time arround. This is literally the worst I ve heard in the game.

Even so I changed to my forsaken now i have the fun of my live when I get a hold of those new shrinking drinks my forsaken will be a bit closer to my gobo tho^^

I think undeads fit quite well into a casino setting

For me what I’ve experienced so far.

Pros:

  • Good thematic, I love goblins.
  • OST and aesthetic is good.
  • I like that the area is so hectic that you turn around a corner and it’s suddently full of enemies.
  • Moving around the place feels amazing without flying, I’m a big flying hater.
  • We have a car.

Cons:

  • Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag. Lag.
  • Bugs, I lost 5k undercoins buying what was supposed to be ilvl 580 4/8 adventurer pieces for my recently leveled character but it turns out the chest content has been changed and it gives 350 pieces now, without any warning (that I know of).
  • People standing ON TOP of very small NPCs make it a hell to do quests.
  • Did I mention lag?

I can’t stand jazz. I know, I’m a heretic and all. One of my concerns for this patch lol.

Personally I don’t like the ambience at all. I don’t like all that metal stuff, don’t like cars in WoW. For me it’s ugly, filthy and the music made me press ctrl+m within 5 minutes.

But I am fine with that. We always had quite different patch areas which have been liked by some and disliked by others. I am more a person for areas like Isle of Dorn, Hallowfall, Ohn’ara Plains and Emerald Dream, which gave other players the creeps. Maybe I am just a typical Druid - don’t want the dust of the big city in my feathers.

The quests and story I still need to see, but I can handle optics by just concentrating on the quests.

As I like to collect and wear new transmog I am a bit sad, but at the end it means I don’t need to farm much of any currency as I don’t want to buy the transmog.

For whoever likes the ambience, I just wish a lot of fun.
Have a great day all

I liked the opening cinematic. I was like; oh okay, let’s do this.
But… No. Undermine itself is maze like and annoying with all the interiors and stairs and whatnot. You can’t avoid anything because you can’t fly. I almost died several times already (lag doesn’t help, I suppose). I just wasn’t having fun. So I decided to log off and give it some time; go back in to try some more. Because I want to like it. But… Yeah.

For context: I think I played for about an hour this morning and about an hour and half just now.

There’s some parts that worked on my nerves. I always do first play throughs with sound on, but I’ve turned music off. I agree; this is the first time in WoW that I’ve not liked a zone’s music.

Same here.
And somehow it breaks immersion for me because I associate it with a bar and people on a stage in the 1980s.Very RL like. Not a game set in really old times.

Hasn’t this been the design policy since WoD, with some respite in some BFA zones?
Or this is even more mazey then usual?

I haven’t decided if I’m going there or not yet. I might wait til the weekend and see.

Its extra mazey this time.Its under stairs,on the 3rd level,in the sewers,down the stairs,up the stairs…

That’s something I really like.
Undermine is supposed to be a city and I think it feels like a very big city

Heh, not my thing, I’m afraid.
I’ve got “Avowed” to try out once I’m done with “Lost Records: Bloom & Rage”.

And besides that I’ve got loads of non-gaming stuff to do. I won’t get bored any time soon.

I’m indifferent to hostile to Goblins, typically…but I like the zone. It’s very dense and I’m eager to see it clear out a bit once the novelty wears off…but it’ll be pretty great for role-play and it reminds me of certain areas in various JRPG’s.

After so much Alliance focused content it’s nice to see one of the Horde adjacent races receive some focus, too.

Well that’s certainly a matter of taste.

Beuty is in the eyes of the beholder you know? WoW is a game filled with allot of fantasy races. More than just the beutyful elves you know? :stuck_out_tongue:

I love the PoE series, but after watching gameplay and reviews of the game the biggest glaring issue I’ve noted in Avowed is the horrendous AI [e.g. – you aggro them, and they easily get blocked by stuff just running into it, or just facing a corner while you hack away at them, etc.]
