Well I am in the 10% of guilds that does it with a prof war….
I don’t follow the speedrun meta so I can only speculate that there’s some niche use for them in this scenario. Unless it’s just due to a specific comp being used.
Eh? The average top speedrun has 1 Warrior, 4 Paladins and 2 druids, with 1 of those Pala/Druid spots being always Ret/Feral while sometimes the Warrior is a Prot, other times a Fury.
Stop cherry picking numbers here. Look at statistics, Feral is a top performer and Ret is just above Fury, while Ret in T9/T10 gets to fight UD/Demon mobs, increasing their damage relative to Ulduar.
Are you bringing statistics from your head? Can’t share links on the forum, just look at current wcl speedrun logs. Fury - 9.7%, Feral - 8.8%, Retri - 8.2%.
And maybe you should look at 90+ percentiles other than all percentiles? Once again remind you that average warrior crybaby is much worse at the game than average feral/retri enjoyer. 90+ percentiles warriors stomps ret pallas.
You’re cherrypicking again, I can cherrypick the top 10 speedruns and we find all of them have a feral and a ret, all of them have a Warrior but some of them are Prot or switching roles, so among the more relevant top 10 speedruns there are more ferals/rets than Fury.
And when you say “stomp” paladins, you mean they move one position up ahead of them? And Ferals, they are one of the least popular classes historically being compared against the most popular class historically, they also only just got buffed so there has been nowhere near enough time to show the FOTM rerollers, but there have been a substantial increase in feral parses since the buff already.
But you want to cherrypick? At 99% Feral is now creeping up alongside Assassination. Tell me where in your argument you can justify not reverting the Ret/Feral buffs going into T10?
I’m cherrypicking? Out of 50 statistically proved runs? You just have to say something or what?
Are you saying that soon we will see guilds stacking ferals? Cause thats not gonna happen:)
I already said that blizzard can revert anything, I don’t care, just fix the bugs.
Yes, you can. You can place 4 empty spaces before your link if you don’t have forum lvl3. Like this:

You can post whatever souce you want that way.
Yes you’re cherrypicking specific statistics that you feel help your argument, statistics you’ve given weight to that aren’t overly relevant. I highlighted that by doing the same, if you look at the top 10 speedruns, which for the sake of this argument I will deem more valid, there are less Fury Warriors than Ferals or Rets.
Either my or your example hinges on speedrun participation being a heavily weighted discussion point… But wait, how many people do speedruns? Almost nobody, they are a minority even within the raiding community, so why are we talking about these cherry picked statistics at all?
All people want is to be able to be competitive on the meters with other classes, we all accepted our fate on this point until Blizzard decided buffing Ret and then buffing Feral was ok for the game. The feral buff made more headlines because they turned from little kittens into Tigers, literal single target and burst AOE gods.
Now sure if you wanna leave the buffs in the game, buff Fury, if not then revert these buffs and we can play 3.4.3 tuning where Warrior gets good 2 weeks before Cataclysm again.
I believe this is an important point that many people gloss over, and the reason why “only buffs, no nerfs” would never work for balancing. Tweaking an entire encounter to feel about as difficult as it should is much harder than adjusting the DPS or survivability of a single class or spec. But, since Blizzard started the buff avalanche, they will eventually have to do it, or we will end up with another raid as engaging as Naxxyawnmas.
I’m not saying this to stop warriors from getting buffs, I’d rather some classes received nerfs in return to keep the average raid damage output at a similar level.
