Meeting the dps requirements for an encounter is meaningless. People are concerned with getting chosen for raids, people are concerned with feeling like they bring value, people are concerned with feeling like they are able to have fun and justify playing their classes.
Ret and Feral were already going to be really good in ICC, we can see that from old footage, but both got substantial buffs and both were performing around the same level as Fury in Ulduar. Now both specs are performing better than Fury in Ulduar with Feral being top 5 dps spec overall.
Being a MM hunter is not a complaint, because Hunters can play Survival which is fantastic in Ulduar, among the top specs with very high peaks and MM also scales to be good in ICC. Warriors have one bad dps spec and one really bad dps spec + a tanking spec that is only useful for speedrunning farm content.
You claim that T10 will fix everything, it won’t. By the time Warriors are competitive on damage we will be looking Cataclysm in the eyes, while Feral/Ret were already better on progression than Warrior in ICC, based on the 2010 data.
It’s amazing to me that you still don’t understand where people are coming from when Bigbazz literally explained the entire issue to you.
He provided you with an objective source but you decided to completely ignore it, stating things like dying to a boss and encounter RNG, which are player/encounter specific and in no way justify Warrior’s current state.
You get chosen based on indivual skill, one can be the best parsing class but if he is exalted with the floor no one will bring him in raid.
What does skill issue have to do with the topic? The point they’re trying to make is that Arms and Fury are both objectively worse than Ret and Feral in terms of dps while providing fraction of their utility.
I took some time to run some proper sim, with Ava rage it’ll of 264 (IC 25 normal) fury is capable of doing a solid 12k dps (without the raid buff). That more than enough for any HC in icecrown.
So, what’s the reason for you to think that Warriors shouldn’t get a buff to be more on par with other classes? 12k dps is nothing when you consider that full BiS p2 UH DK is simming for almost 11k two phases earlier. Making Warrior stronger doesn’t make other classes weaker and there’s no reason for it to be the only class in the game without a single competitive spec.
Sure, blizz can revert the change but fix omen of clarity bug. It should proc from cat abilities and fff proccing OoC is kinda compenstaing it. They can cut 10% of my dps, i don’t care, i am competing with ferals, not with any other class/spec. The fun fact is that warriors want to compete with other classes for some reason (most warriors are bad at the game)
If they revert the Ret/Feral buffs I think you’d find Fury Warriors would be more ok to accept their fate. But given that Ret/Feral would have both outshine Fury for ICC progression without any buffs based on 2010 data, the fact that they got buffs that carry forward while Fury remains untouched is unacceptable.
Based on the entire logic of people arguing against buffing Fury, they should have never buffed Ret/Feral either, so you cannot sit there and be a hypocrite as a Ret/Feral player and say Fury should not get buffs. Warrior will remain mediocre until after ICC progression is over and requires a Legendary to be actually good, moreso due to Feral/Ret buffs changing the order.
Sounds to me like you haven’t even done any actual HM’s and don’t know what you’re talking about. Ulduar may be way easier than the highest difficulty raids on retail but it still requires considerable amount of DPS and planning for certain bosses. Saying that bosses die of heartstroke makes you sound ignorant given the fact that after 3 months of progress, 66% of raid teams still haven’t killed Algalon 25 and only 17% have done Yogg 0. At this point in time, most HM’s are easy for casual guilds with 3 months worth of gear but it doesn’t even compare to Naxx.
Oh and I’m sure that 90% of tanks downing Algalon being Prot Paladins or Blood DK’s makes Guardian Druids and Prot Warriors be a very reasonable choice.
Did some brownie seal your Yogg Legs or Dark Matter? You seem kinda salty for whatever reason. Besides, what’s wrong in Warriors wanting to compete against other classes in exchange for having less raid utility? Dsac stacking meta already favours Paladins on top of the recent buff and for some reason you find it unreasonable for Fury to compete. The door has already been opened by Blizzard and it’d make no sense for them to leave Warriors alone on the basis that they get good with 2 Shadowmournes and 3 Deathbringer’s Will 1 week before Cata.
Just don’t understand why there’s more warriors in top 50 speedruns than ferals and ret pallas considering your position about warriors having less damage and utility.
But thats where you are wrong, its not a bug, thats simply how clearcasting now works on wotlk classic … same like blizz said that munching is wotlk classic functionality and same like pets having changes from future xpacs is also how they now function on wotlk …
So either we play what we are served or we take a deep dive into this swamp … but if instead of fixing bugs we start making changes for crybabies, then all we are going to get is more crybabies …
If you have issue with that go send email to bobert
