This is the strangest new currency I’ve seen. I get tons of it, I have over 7000 from various sources and there is still abolutely nothing to spend it on.
Supposedly later it’s used for a couple of things. It takes 2000 to upgrade a legendary to rank 7, so even if I play 2 specs I’ve got it covered. Then there is Memory of Unity which costs only 500, and it’s used to craft tier gear which takes about 1000 a piece. So I already have the stuff for 2-3 pieces. In the first 2 weeks without even trying, and weeks before the system even opens.
Am I missing something or is this the most useless currency ever?
The point is, we have been whining for the whole expansions how the currencies are too time consuming to get, and how the reward-time invested ratio is off (mainly ash and cinders).
Now, we get showered with a currency we need for power purposes, and it’s again not ok and we think, what are we gonna do with it?
Hope I answered your question. It could be account bound though. If it won’t be, I won’t care aswell since it’s so easy to obtain.
I sure wasn’t whining about 'it taking too long". But why even design a currency where by the time you can spend it, you already have way more than you’ll ever need? Is it just to justify the job of a system designer? It could otherwise simply be a quest reward for completing the timegated campaign.
Also, it’s an easy fix (even by being lazy) if they just add something infinitely useful that it can be spent on like gold, crafting mats, EXP potion for alts or whatever.
I didn’t mean you personally. Mainly the community, disliking the soul ash / cinders system.
If that would be the case, people crafting multiple legendaries would be affected by it. My playstyle is quite the same as yours, I’m more than enough set of it (over 15k on this toon), and I don’t care as I have 1 legendary + the 2nd we’ll get in 2 weeks. What about the players doing all types of content?
