So when is the horde going to pay reparations to the Night Elves

There is a vast difference between targeting innocents and targeting soldiers in a war.

According to the UN in Earth.

According to who in Warcraft?

Apparently those horde members who thought itā€™s not okay to target innocents and almost wipe out an entire race and started a rebellion.

Saurfang got 4 cinematics because of the fact that itā€™s not okay.

Yes my point exactly, Factions in Warcraft are judge, jury and executioner. There is no organisation higher than them.

So its about ā€œMoralsā€. Well the same morals that imply u shouldnt kill children are the same morals that imply you shouldnt be attacking, and using violence unless to Protect. So the entire attack on Dazaralor isnt in line with this.

The people like Saurfang and Anduin who managed to achieve this peace, dont do reparations or ā€œjusticeā€ or any bullsht ur after in your 20 topics.

We get to breathe and not fight. Thats the reparation everyone gets. And its enough!

Nope, itā€™s not enough. Iā€™d discuss further with you but you are so incredibly biased that thereā€™s no point to do so.

And you are not?

You are incredibly hateful making a revenge thread every day!!

You mean when a character calls it that in the story? What if another character called it justice? Would it mean it was that too?

You people keep using this word for drama effect, but that wasnā€™t genocide. Not when the nelfs are spread all over the damned world.

Hell, you know I still havenā€™t finished my Ashran gnome murder spree? Now thatā€™s attempted genocide.

I mean, jews also were. And they arenā€™t even an actual race in the first place. That didnā€™t stop humans on earth from using the term for what the germans did to them extensively.

In the end, it doesnā€™t matter whether a mass murder is called a genocide, a spongelgob or a dinner party - facts donā€™t change over it. No one is gonna come back to life if the so called genocide is proven to be merely a common massacre in an argumentation. Itā€™s just arguing semantics and not even a new debate.

As for reparations - Itā€™s warcraft. If anything, the alliance is going to pay reparations to the horde out of gratitude for being allowed a cameo in the cinematics. Night Elves already gave them Azshara after the last war, might as put Ashenvale on top now.

Clearly evil Anduin

Living in a huge forest, ON the trees literally, without any fire protectionā€¦How can you live for thousands of years and be so dumb?

Iā€™m sure Horde has something to give to the Nelfs in the future, just you wait

And Blizzard is absolutely credible

Yes, but the Horde did not have as a purpose to exterminate Nelves. If it was gnomes living on that tree they would have burned instead. It was just stupid people living in a stupidly grown tree which was a military target and the person who gave the order was on her period. The funny part is that killing Malf would have been more effective and guess who failed in doing thatā€¦

Just to clarify few things because a lot of people are mixing things up in here.

Reparations are outlined by a treaty that concludes the war formally. And then determined and specified by additional subsequent treaties. It is usually enforced by succeeding governments of the losing side of the war with oversight of international community.

Also, just because a rebel factions took over the Horde in the end doesnā€™t mean that there is no winner in this war. Thats like saying Italy didnā€™t loose WWII because Mussolini and fascist were overthrown before the war ended. Not only did Italy loose the war but it also paid reparations to countries it invaded.

So yes, by ā€œreal worldā€ standards there is definitely room for Horde to pay up reparations. its just that WoW isnā€™t politically and legally nuanced game like some other games out there. It is the game where narrative is run by convenience and ā€œrule of coolā€ so Horde will probably come out of this conflict as a military powerhouse, free of any responsibility

Correct. But itā€™s more accurate to say that Sylvanas would be targeting the Alliance, instead of the nelfs for that to apply. She wasnā€™t going around to, letā€™s say, neutral settlements and demanding they turn over the nelfs.

What is the horde supposed to pay up for? Hasnā€™t blizzard trashed our narrative hard enough already? We are literally the worth of toilet paper right now. At least the alliance isnā€™t struggling to figure out what they stand for every 2 expansions.

I did quit WoW over this BS. My two oldest characters are NE since vanilla and to see the NE reduced to a plot tool and then the atrocious narrative of the Night Warrior was too much. No love for the game or the lore anymore.

Well but wouldnā€™t it be good for both factions if the horde does some efforts to redeem themselves (for example by helping the night elves rebuild their civilization) and night elf fans not feeling completely spit on by anduin making peace with literally everything?

Those that want to play the evil horde could still just side with Sylvanas

The NE should pay reparations to all for Azeroth for blowing up the whole planet and almost letting Sargeras enter it.

actually no that was your beloved allies the blood elves you know the former highborne the night elves are the commoners the blood elves are the former nobility

and even thought it was not their fault they maintained a 10.000 year vigil banning all magic and waiting for the legion to return your allies however hated this and was exiled thus began recklessly abusing magic once again

As I said. Novels are the answer for those lose ends and questions.

Never.

But weā€™ll take some of that lumber.
