You look at the story very weirdly, tyrande has been consistently pushing the plot foward, you can tell this is truth because blizzard barely use her and when they do is to introduce a big event, not only that, every other character in the game tries to drag the plot down.
Who knows, I thought it was tripe the moment they announced it and look… it played out as pointless, badly told crap that we could have skipped for an entire void expansion.
Ah well, the masses want their simple and boring us vs them since football isn’t enough I guess. :>
In an interview Ion said that whatever dies in this raid it dies permanently soo its not a vision and N’zoth did go down like a wimp. Altough it isnt beyond them to retcon this junk anyway and say it was a vision (making BfA even more pointless XD) but for now the verdict is he is officially dead.
Millenium:
What happens if a creature dies in Ny’alotha, including N’Zoth? Does this change anything, compared to the battles against Yogg-Saron and C’Thun?
Ion Hazzikostas:
Ny’alotha is not even an imaginary location — it’s real, it’s an alternate reality in some ways that is almost merging with ours if we don’t prevent it.
So, when we go in there and we are defeating minions of the Old Gods, then it’s fair to assume and expect that we are destroying them pretty heavily. If we are victorious against N’Zoth, that should be the last that we hear from him — but we’ll see!
I don’t think there was that much conflict besides the first few months. After that it sort of died down already…and left a lot of things unresolved and…burning…
I don’t mind, I liked it and the issue with Sylvanas, what I am iffy about is that the expac was supposed to be about some classic hatred between alliance and horde, and yet it kinda ends in the middle of it and they force in Nazjatar and some old gods, the whole A vs H should have ran its course to the end of it, I feel it was a waste of two interesting expac possibilities with Nazjatar and Black empire.
I refuse to accept that. a big baddie like N’zoth cant die in one patch, it just cant.
Well it might be, but N’zoth tricked us! he did! he must have! Praise be N’zoth, Praise be our Tentacle overlord! i can still hear his whispers!
Another naive who wants to play MMORSGs for lore and story …
You know there are single player games for good storytelling, right?
Don´t expect good and logical lore after 8 expansions m8
Edit: Btw I pretty much like the story. At the beginning we all thought “Battle for Azeroth” means Alliance/Horde conflict. But in the end we have been fighting for Azeroth as a whole with Old Gods, not with each other
looks at Yogg-Saron and C’thun
Sure.
And N’Zoth was the weak Old God.
Because everyone asked for it, everyone asked for exactly what they got, but regret it and blizzard decided to run with it, and try to tweak it into your liking from feedbacks but you people changed your minds 24/7 and now we’re at this point where blizzard just gives up.
Its because of the majority BFA exists, and all these systems. Everyone asked for everything that have been in BFA, watch the youtubers, waht the comments from legion, and if there is a way to look at the feedback check that too, every little detail was asked for by the community, but because people had no idea how it would affect the game, but the general idea sounding good, you had no clue… and it went haywire.
Well while N’zoth was the weakest he is the only one we did fight at his full power.
