Hello,
I started the game today and I got a prompt to accept the Social Contract.
The thing is I accepted it when it was introduced to the game months ago.
My question is - Was there a change to the contract made today/yesterday that I needed to accept it again?
There isn’t any information about it in the hotfix notes from recent days.
Just asking out of curiosity, I do not have any problems with it being in the game whatsoever
I think it appears randomly from time to time. I’ve had to accept it more than once? Though not in recent patches

Well I had it accepted only once at the start and now today, but probably you’re right, might be a refreshment of some sort
I have to admit i got a little bit scared when it popped up, because yesterday i gold swapped with my friend from retail to classic for a wow token and thought we may have been marked as buying gold or some sort

3th time i press agree on it on login during dragonflight
I think they are using it like how police announce they will be doing more speed limit surveilance and cheking tires etc for a week
I suspect there will be banwave for language again, its funny how many of it is shuffle related and people just spamming random reports on anything cause they can

Nah it’s just a refresher to remind everyone to behave themselves, just accept it and carry on as normal.

Get all price mony taken
- Underpayin poeple
The list they do wrong is alot bigger than wat we cuod do
ngl but a “social contract” sounds a bit like communism.

Hahaha! Yeah, like the sorts of “In soviet russia the wow account plays you!”
On the other hand, communism is also called socialism in some countries, so maybe that’s why it sounds familiar
We better check if there isn’t a line in the contract that says “Your account isn’t yours, it’s ours” like the buggs bunny communist meme or something

Pretty sure that’s in the TOS already

Usually because they have no idea what socialism or communism actually is, or more likely both.

Only in capitalist countries that fears socialism because it hinders their economical exploitation of other countries, and idiots in other countries within the same economical sphere adopting the expressions.
it actually is, that’s the funny thing.

And we have this pop-up in game because there are too many slow players who don’t understand the ToS and compares everything they don’t like with communism.
Got it today aswell… wierd
nah i think it is more because blizzard wanted more protection against banning people without warning if they act like idiots.
Example being…
“i was banned for calling someone bad in a BG”
you see this a lot no?
all blizzard need to do now is say “social contract”

The Social Contract is a reminder with the summary of the ToS, and perceived unjust bans can still be appealed. Nothing have changed in this regards.
hmm depends who you are i think
i was banned from this forum for 3 months one day after serving a 3 month ban
for making 2 mildly samey comments… apparently that constitutes spamming lol.
meanwhile other people have been here for months being actually toxic to others with no actions taken.

How is this related to the in-game Social Contract?
I am not saying that the forum staff aren’t clowns, but the forums DO NOT have a ‘Social Contract’-reminder, rendering this point irrelevant.
it blankets all related content.
if they expect people to act one way in game it should be mirrored on all social platforms relating to said game.
