Hello,

Anyone else got the Social Contract poping up today when logging to the game?

I had previously signed it already, so i found this strange.

Yes, I think they probably put it up every so often just as a reminder.

It’s possible that it has seen reiterations since then, and even the smallest of changes warrants a new prompt for users to agree to its terms.

I did. Haven’t seen any difference since it started.

WoW still extremely toxic and unfriendly.

They had some grammar mistakes in previous contract so it poped up again.

Yeah I got it yesterday evening.
But I wonder, does Blizzard really believe this pop up message only will make any change and reduce toxic behavior?

Agree with you there it’s very naive to think people will take notice of it if they fully intend to engage in toxic behaviour “contract” or not also for me at least I know all the stuff it had in it was part and parcel of playing the game way back when I started in 2008 and in the coming up for 15 years of being on WoW save one isolated incident that was very emotionally charged I have never behaved in the way they describe in it and see most of it as common sense.

Sad to think they think it will change the minds of those who wish to do the behaviour they are trying to police against. It’s not a great way to get that message over to people actions speak louder than mere words or contracts perhaps if they actually policed the game in real-time this thing would not be needed. Still, the toxic people would deem that harassment and complaints it is a vicious circle with no way to win overall.

Just my 2p on that.

The contract isn’t to stop people being toxic, it is here so that, if needed, they can just take action without any worrys.
