NO SOCKETS!
Long version; if there are sockets for S3, for goodness sake make them related to content that needs sockets. Do not mandate I grind ZM for 6 months. This is what killed 9.1, the idea that players who like group content should have to dedicate 30 mins/day doing something they don’t like in order to be optimal in content they do like.
There’s a reason so many players took a break at Christmas.
(I don’t necessarily hate the idea of buying them for CF. There is a lot of that stuff. OTOH, it competes for legendaries with players who have multiple specs or different legendaries for different styles.)
Only if JWC can craft an item like belt buckle

Would be nice to have a farmable currency in raids, m+, pvp for sockets. I don’t want to farm ZM either for them, but I’m afraid that’s what they are going to do in 9.2.5
How exactly is one socket worth more than 25ilvl of stats ? Including main stat .
Also if its something like maw or korthia grind ill pass, if they do it for like 500 flux or something that can be farmable in regular content then it would be nice.
You think 252 with a socket is better than 278 without?

If the stats are crappy then… yeah! Similar items, no way.
I had to chose between a neck 278 with crit and haste and a 262 ring with haste and mastery with socket. I’m a tank. I chose the ring because I can upgrade it with valors.
Or just put sockets by default on gear again like we used to have. Their reasoning for removing sockets on gear was such a weak argument.
Half of the enjoyment in gear in my opinion was filling in the sockets and enchanting your gear. Made you feel complete.

What we have now is basically warforging again, where BIS is impossible unless you have some amazing RNG with the vault.
We need deterministic sockets, either make them fixes like pre-WoD or allow us to put them on everything that can potentially have it.
Reasonable, season 2 we have full sockets and how are you supposed to upgrade with new item? I have some high ilvl and cant even use them because of sockets.
Give us socket, dont wait until 9.2.5!
Let us know if you are planning to add socket for season 3. I talked with people about this. I already got some ilvl higher cant even upgrade to beat ilvl 252 with socket. Stop hide yourself, the devs! Thanks!
