Socket on a converted set item

I got a helm from vault and converted it to pvp item and seems like you can’t socket an item with Astral Jeweler’s Setting if you converted it with Conqueror’s Astral Varnish. I can’t test it with pve socket since i don’t have tokens. I don’t know if this is intented or a bug.

Edit: If anyone wondering, i’ve chosen token from vault a week after and was able to socket it with pve socket like people said.

It’s intended because socket item for pvp doesn’t require vault to get. It’s only honor. It would be kind of stupid if you could socket the items without having to use the vault for sockets for items you use in pve, nobody would pick the socket from vault if you could just pvp for honor to get it.

Good point, yet pve players needs to get conquest to be able to socket it with honor if it would work the way i taught it would. So i can socket it with pve socket probably. 1 more week of delves for me and we’ll see.

PVE items = PVE socket
PVP items = PVP socket

Putting Varnish doesn’t make it PVP, only scale in PVP.

Yes but we have to change it to pve since there’s no “pvp” set item. Also if i wanna change conquest item to set item should i socket it before changing it. Only helms can be socketed so it’s not a big deal but it is really weird imo.

If you catalyst pvp item, you can still put pvp socket afterwards.
