Just something that hit me - Can’t we get a bit more millage out of that 5% Experience gem in some way? Sure I know that everyone who comes of the heels of Legion most likely had a Legendary Ring with a socket available, but that does not account for everyone sadly.
I also know of the MoP Heirloom weapons but I’m most certain not everyone has every single version of those weapons as well.
So what about it - What if they add a singel socket slot to one of the more regular heirloom items / Just add a single socket slot to all heirloom pieces within a category like the chests or shoulders?
The gem works only on bfa items, and you can get the base bfa jwc ring that has always a socket for next to nothing in the ah
Also adding a socket to heirlooms comes with it’s own set of issues, you need to scale gems, you have gems that won’t work at low level like mastery
I’d much rather have access to a 5% xp ring obtainable without investing months into the garrison.
The gem can be used on Legion items - I got a 5% XP gem right now in my Legendary ring.
Besides why would they need to scale the gem? 5% is 5% no matter? It’s not a static number like with enchants that needs to go up or down (Like how the MoP Shoulder enchants scales up and down between certain levels on Herilooms)
