I really miss the days where almost all items had gem slots… gem slots + reforging let players customize their characters how they want!

They’re too busy thinking up the next expansion gimmick to care about prior, actual fun and working customization.
10%+ movement speed in PvP is quite large, so your narrow POV that judges that by only very limited content you do in very specific way you do it is really irrelevant
it not mattering TO YOU isn’t equivallent to it not mattering
Let’s be real for a moment, it’s unlikely they decided to get rid of the Socket Items without stating that.

Depends on what rating you play at.
Also you kinda change questions from “it’s not that good” to “well but most people don’t use it right”?
Moving goalpost generally reveals your bias.
Don’t you think if it would be that important and powerful, a lot more people would use it?

Some players rather quit, some deal with disadvantages and quit after.
We can see player quitting, so it fits exactly the behavior I’d expect.
You can see players quitting all the time, doesn’t really mean anything tho.
We don’t see as many people getting back.
And sure, we see player quitting all the time.
We also see stupid decisions like this all the time.
