The only solution that I see for our characters is to move to the TBC realms, and here’s why:
Leaving us to rot in the last phase of Era or “SoD Era” is obviously unacceptable, I hope this does not require explanation
Cata/Panda and Retail are too far away from Vanilla to be a viable scenario
Classic + is clearly not happening right now and even if it were, it would be unfair if we had the advantage / headstart that we have
TBC is the logical conclusion after lvl 60. Many are willing to play TBC but do not want to play Vanilla, especially since we just played through a better version of it
Timing aligns well. The new SoD content will probably last up to summer 2025, so after a small break we’d be able to transfer to TBC which is coming late 2025.
Obviously all SoD-exclusive items and features should not carry over to TBC anniversary. If necessary, a gold cap of 5000 can be set for characters transferring so that it is fair to the regular anniversary characters.
The only blue post remotely related to the topic is the one saying that SoD characters / realms will not be deleted, which is very vague and in itself does not exclude any scenario
They already stated that sod characters will not go on any other realm a long time ago and they had to tell it again because some little crybabies didn’t listen
I mean dude they even made a FUC**** client for sod already, can’t you even try to figure out why they did it if it’s just a season ? It’s fuc…g obvious but you seem to not have the brain cells to understand…
Everything you say is false. SoD uses the same client as Era and Anniversary and Hardcore. They never openly stated our characters would remain in SoD. On the contrary, in early phases they declared that they would allow us to continue developing our characters after the season ends, which inherently contradicts the idea of SoD Era.
The idea of “characters and realms will be supported and not deleted” does not in itself mean much. What happened to the original 2004 toons as well as classic-19 toons satisfies the criteria “realms and characters supported and not deleted”
“We are envisioning an interesting place for them to move to that allows them to keep some of the itemization that we’ve added in Season of Discovery. Something very similar to Classic Era but not existing Classic Era realms. As far as possibilities, our team is fortunate in that there are a great many very exciting directions we could take the future of Classic.”
That’s a quote from an interview of aggrend
Can you know try to think a little ?
Like I said earlier : « Want tbc ? Then get you finger out of your a** and go on anniversary realm »
They also clumped vanilla fresh into megaservers right off the bat. Guess they will not go to TBC then
As for this:
This does not exclude TBC. And even if they make SoD Era, it does not mean it has to be the only choice. Classic - 19 characters had a choice between Era and TBC. SoM characters had a choice between Era and Wrath.
It’s funny how you just exclude the part of the quote that completely invalidates your cope lol
Why don’t you go on those anniversary realm if you want tbc so much ?
Also I see many people talk about a kind off « tbc sod » and I don’t understand how they can’t see it will not be impossible…. Literally the purpose of sod was to take the VANILLA gameplay of wow and twist it to permit that the classes that couldn’t work in the base game become viable in this version + adding new content, quest etc …
That is literally impossible in tbc because that problem is already solved…
Your argument proves that TBC SoD does not make sense. But it does not mean that SoD characters cannot transfer to regular TBC after all of this is over. You just want to deny us the promised ability to continue developing our characters out of spite
absolutely NOTHING prevent you to play tbc when it will come out except you lazyness
I gave you the proof it will not happen 2 times but you’re just acting like a child doing a tantrum
the plain and simple reason it can’t be possible is because:
the sod characters are now completly separated of the client of era and anniversary now and that’s because they had too many problem when they were developping the new features of sod as some of them where somehow implement in era too (remember the ally rend buff ?)
talent trees of some classes have been modified
new items quest chain and instance completly non-existent is this version
Are you serious? I have told you already, they are literally using the same client
Yeah, so? We’ll have a TBC talent tree anyway, what’s the problem here?
Remove them for the transferred character, problem solved
You are accusing me of having a tantrum yet you are the one insulting me from the very beginning. Can you tell me why you are so vehemently against allowing us to play play TBC after Naxx and continue developing our characters, just like it should always be in RPGs?
Why are you giving me a link to a blue post we have already discussed? As I said, “We have no plans to delete Season of Discovery characters or to shut down the SoD realms” does not exclude TBC. Also, again, the fate of 2004 vanilla toons as well as classic 2019 toons satisfies the condition “characters and realms supported and not deleted”
