Recently start playing SoD.
PvE part actually looked kinda interesting, events and raids are fun.
Got lv40 and some decent gear from gnomer and decided to dive into PvP.
Today spent whole day trying to farm some honor. Found out that there are some serious problems with balance. Went to the forums to see if there would be any buffs/debuffs, since this clearly needs to be fixed - to my surprise found that no changes are planned - instead people even trying to argue that everything is fine.
Here is observation after a whole day queuing bgs:
-9 of 10 matches Alliance losing
-9 of 10 matches starts from Shamans insta wipe whole Alliance raid
-9 of 10 matches top three by kill score at the end are always Shamans and only them
Yet for some reasons people here argue and justify the situation, some even trying to defend Shamans lol
Looks like I’m done with SoD, no point to waste time on a game mode with dead pvp. Very disappointing.
WoW was sadly a never good PvP game. On top of that, SoD made it a oneshot fiesta where everyone dies in 2 globals or less, with the only exception being shamans.
So SoD took the bad pvp from classic and turned it into an utterly ridicilous state. I rarely do STV with my characters and then raidlog, avoid any BGs since phase 1.
9 of 10 numbers on this forum are fabricated by crybabies.
I have a blast playing PVP. Many classes are topping scoreboards. It’s quite colorful. Bursty fights are awesome. Alliances have been losing since 2004 because of refusing of fight after the first wipe.
And why in every thread about PVP are PVE players telling us they hate PVP and they don’t play it? You have been avoiding BG since phase 1 but you are here telling us how it is?
i mean i have greatly enjoyed pvp in sod on my rogue during leveling, and ive enjoyed stv event, but i agree with you, bgs as alliance are not fun at all.
on my pala ive found out that if u have more than 3 shammy vs you its just guaranteed loss
There appears to be a bug in the game currently. Premades from horde are matching with solos in alliance.
If you queue solo as a horse the queue takes 30-40 minutes. If you grp it’s near instant.
I have an ally and a horde at 40 on different accounts and I’ve been queuing them at the same time. Horde being in a party and ally being solo. It took quite a few attempts before we got the same queue pop. But I can confirm that my solo ally did infact queue against my horde in a 5man party.
This has got to be a bug.
Alliance are already at a severe disadvantage with their racials vs horde racials. Shamans are indeed stronger than paladins. And now solo ally’s are matching premade horde on top.
It is near impossible for allies who queue solo to get a win.
Do you mean the DoTs? that can be dispelled by multiple classes in group PvP?
Do you mean the casted spells that hit like wet noodles compared to other caster classes?
or… maybe… just maybe… the reason you’re seeing Spriests at the top of the leaderboards is mainly because they are the only class that has a ranged instant cast execute that’s already been nerfed?
We don’t know exactly how and why this happened. Everything was insane in Phase 1, with relevant update and communication.
Then Phase 2 came, and devs are now … in thin air.
I don’t think they really tought SoD would need so much updates, and now they are desesperate. Yes, balancing old games like that take time and effort.
It’s a very good game, but it need developers that gonna spend their life on it.
I’m sorry to say it, but you failed guys. This can not work with a team of “workers” that do this for a living.
To make SoD great, you would need a team of people that are willing to sacrifice their own life for this game.
They told us about incremental changes every week, but what we see is nothing outside of air.
the entire game is a dissapointment.
Balance druids got nerfed to the ground and even tho a balance druid has full BiS they will NEVER get close to what all other classes do in dmg.
All because kids cried the first week of ph2 and now there are no more nerfs just buff the already OP classes.
Blizzard employees are just brain dead zombies with hole’s in their head. They do anything to keep their job not to keep their players.
It is not bug, unfortunately. On p1 posts about WSG frustration premade thing, a player was explained how it work if they change it, and predicted that, it will happen just like now. Seems like because less allıance players queue for Bgs (due to nice pvp balance and fun), horde players who que as grp are taken as priority to find em spot before solo queued ones, if there is not enough ally premade groups waiting, they are put in vs solo queued ppl. (they are taken as priority because are group, otherwise they may not have invite at all) That how it works. (at least I think it is like that)
