Fresh have been completely success. Will devs drops SoD to the garbage box and left us behind? Is this the end of Classic+ ?

Yeah i’m out after sod, just back for a little mid life nostalgia trip
But many of my sod guild are now leveling on fresh classic
This includes all of the guild leaders
Starting to get the feeling its going to split the player base when fresh raiding starts
Why level an alt on sod when its loosing players to a new version?
Pretty sure some of my guildmates have played wow their entire existence and will never leave though, just jump versions every now and again.

Doubt it. Fresh “hype” will die off in a few weeks. Once people realize how stale the gameplay is.
Im not advocating for SoD, even tho its miles better gameplay wise. I think both versions are not worth much. But people can play w/e they want.

Sod is over, Rip Bozo #F blizzard
when the initial leveling phase of fresh is over and people gotta deal with end-game vanilla, they will quit in droves, not to mention that more than half of the classes and specs in vanilla wow are dysfunctional to the point of being dubbed “meme specs”.
this is not an opinion, it is a fact.
lots of people going to fresh are coming straight from SOD/Era, and lots of players unironically think SOD is aimed at “tryhards”.
well, enjoy the harsh realization that awaits you at lvl 60 in vanilla “fresh”.
personally, i am not the least bit concerned about “muh split playerbase”.

So because you want them to enable you to raid in sod, you would have wanted to prevent them from playing fresh?

doing the scarab lord in SoD seems such a loser effort when there are cooler mounts you can use outside the raid with better colors than prune purple
There is no “your version”. Blizzard is like an unfaithful partner. She is not yours its just your turn.
In reality Blizzard is disrespecting all our time by doing things like this over and over. And its one of the reason why less and less players are coming back each and every time.
Their overwhelming greed is killing yet another version.
Sod is 1 version of the game, and classic fresh is another.
Sod is the version i like to play, hence i call it “my version”. We can call it by any other name if you rather want that, but version was the name i found the most fitting.
They are trying to meet everyones demands. Some want fresh, some want sod, some want mop, some want retail.
Some play all of those “versions” of the game, and some only play 1. Isnt it better that those who dont really enjoy sod, moves on and play the version they find the best? Nobody wins when players play a game they dont really enjoy.
They disrespect peoples time by giving players what they want? YOU may not like fresh, but those who rather play fresh instead of sod welcome this with open arms.
Ill completely agree that blizz’s greed is ruining alot of things. But the whole notion that blizzard is ruining sod because they gave fresh to those who want to play it, is something i find weird.

You missed my points. If you wanna play X? I wish X stays good. In reality I think Fresh will die a very slow death, same as SoD.
This is why I said they are not really giving you what you want, because running Guilds in such unstable releases is very very hard. Which results in the social aspect falling apart and people quitting.
SoD is dying due to neglect, not because its overall a bad experience. But people are sheep, they will chase the new hype train every time. So Blizzard releasing a direct competition to a version to their own game is not smart for the long term.
I could be wrong, Fresh could explode and then you will have a blast. But this we will know by the end of next month and how it looks on IF.pro
