SoD is the best thing for wow

I see alot of crying about things on forums and just wanted to show some appreciation and say SoD is the greatest thing to happen to wow. Many many years ago we talked with friends how wow needs a restart a wow 2.0 so to speak and SoD is it. Sure its the old game, but we got the game we love with new twists, like making classes more versatile and not locked into one spec to play the endgame, wich to me was the biggest issue with playing classic. Other was obviously that playing the same content for 19 years can be bit dull.

Now we got new raids made out of dungeons, same community feeling with closed realms, people being nice (mostly) and interacting with eachother, more specs viable, endgame on multiple levels, new things coming with every phase making the old game more exciting and something to look forward to and explore.

Only thing i could cry about would be having bit longer phases to play alts and get everything ready for the next one, but with 3 day raid reset and raid being very very easy it would probably get people playing only one character bored and quit while waiting for next phase. Could we have 2 raids in one phase? Like release the other one later? Also i can see issue with stamina / defenses not matching up to our new dmg in pvp especially in later phases wich probably needs to be adressed.

Blizzard can make great things with this in the future and take it far beyond what we could expect when we think of classic lvl 60 gameplay. Completely new raids? SoD tbc? SoD new expansion? If they keep the fundamental things in the game it could evolve to anything (yeah i know this probably wont happen).

Great mainly positive post for a change! - I still prefer HC at the moment but SoD is a very close second. (mainly because I’m still working on getting my first HC 60)

SoD feels quite ‘fresh’ in parts but there are definitely a few things that could be improved, not going to list those things because they don’t bother me enough to cry about like so many others are doing!

I think the Rune system is a bit too far out there for me to actually feel like “Yes, this is the WoW I have been waiting for”, but it sure is a fun little experiment.

There is always things that could be improved. Im my opinion retail went down the bad rabbit hole when they tried to improve things to the way players wanted them to be improved to, but then realized majority of players didnt want it, just the handful of people bothering to make posts about things.

Vanilla wasnt fine tuned and i dont think sod needs to be either, ofcourse fix broken things but you get what i mean.

And yeah someone said about rune system not being it, i agree its not entirely all that could be as a new wow, but its something that feels fresh and fun and im happy with it.

Agree. It‘s the most fun I had in WoW in for over a decade haha. Even a bit more than Classic in 2019.

If only the bot situation wouldn’t be as it is….
