hello, it’s been several days since I’ve been able to play wow sod! because I can’t join my friends/guild on Living Flame… should I still wait or abandon the idea?

Well either you wait or you don’t, probably won’t unluck character creation any time soon, because it’s still overpopulated right now.
However, friends and my guild tell me that there has been no queue for several days. If there is no queue there cannot be overcrowding as you claimed
Take it this way, there will be no queue about 2 weeks from here on, but will your friends wait for you to level up or will they abandon SoD untill next mini-hype wave that will be bigger, bring more content and Living Flame will be locked or in huge queues.
If they’re your friends then perhaps it could be within their means to start again on another server? It’s only been a week so I’m sure your friendship would mean more to them than a weeks trial of SoD? 
If it wasn’t overpopulated you would be able to make characters, queues are fixed due to 11+ layers, and some people quitting and changing server. But it’s still overpopulated because we have huge lagspikes in ashenvale to the point it’s unplayable.
my community has around forty players! several of them are long-time gaming friends! I don’t find any fun playing without them. So am I permanently excluded from the discovery season?

How customer support know this,ask them make a ticket,wtf dude go and play on other server join Lone Wolf until you wait for unlock,it is not 150 levels it is 25 level omg.

Theres overcrowding, theres more players then monsters everyehere, the server just hasnt breached its capacity.
People are stating its got 2x the playerbase then the other servers.
Its locked because blizzard are discouraging mega servers as tom stated on Twitter when this initally all kicked off
So yeah if its living flame or not at all, id abandon. Other servers wont catch up anytime soon, hordes at a minority so your gonna be forced to roll horde even if u do get in, and waiting out to play alliance would likely just mean u arent in before its relocked.
Also, alot of people have hit 25 and waiting for next wave, but blizzard will acknowledge this. They arent gonna do this just to see it be a problem in phase 2.

The game was locked after Day 1. Theyre only a week deep because they didnt turn back lol
I and many of my guild have chars on Living Flame. But guess what, im now on lone wolf aswell as all those guildies.
Barely anyone was 25 after Day 1. People acting like the servers just been locked and no one knew. No ur friends were like level 7 and persisted with the server regardless and now are a week deep into progression.
And you know, when it unlcoks maybe some will go there. who knows what will happen. If some stay longer then others and lone wolf dies id imagine we would return there.
The real reason for everytging is simply everyone thinks every servers dead barr this one. Thats why everyone went on regardless, and why the same people bash on the doors of the server. But ironically thats the exact reason its locked.
Its annoying. But adding 4 hours to the queue inwards would only be just as annoying lol, by the time you get in your friends will have burned out on the content and likely be on break.
The damage is kinda already done. Reversing it and annoying the other 50% of the audience and causing uproar from them would just be adding more damage for 0 recovery lol

The server is locked because the pop is 2x every other server, its in place to enforce players to choose other servers as preventative measures against one singular server becoming a mega server.
Which likely means a long period of time locked. Because people arent choosing other servers.
If i could unlock the server for you, i would sadly i cannot help you get into that server. But if your asking me If you should sub, to only stare at the locked server status im going to say no.
I have chars on living flame, and the people telling you ashenvale is a absolute lag fest are not joking. Even lone wolf suffers server lag currently.
It is overcrowded. I think you underestimate how large the server capacity is.
Wild growth has 50k players on it. Without a queue as a example here, and is smaller then botg pvp servers. Living flames predicted to be 2x the next highest server.
Hence the fact EVERYONES guilds are on it and there is uproar. Lol. If it wasnt crowded. How could that possibly be a situation?
