Do you realize that you are just leveling back to 60 just to go back to doing molten core gdkps? the only difference is that this time instead of the bosses dying in 15 seconds they will be dying in 5 seconds since warriors for example will be doing 50% more damage for the entire duration of a boss fight. And since healers do way more healing you can drop multiple healers from your raid comp compared to ERA and bring DPS so bosses will die even faster.
You will realistically be looking at 3-5 second boss fights in molten core. Even the later raids which are still snoozefest 0 mechanic one shots will be trivialized even more, you can have 5 priests rotate barrier on patchwerk and never even worry about your tank.
basically season of discovery will be an even easier version of vanilla.
yeah u right, can`t believe people fell for this. I guess the average person just goes with whatever the current twitch kiddie hype trend is without really thinking about it.
I don’t think it’s right to conclude that before the other level bands are released. The team have stated they are actively monitoring the game, which they prove through being highly responsive. Every day. They are leveling up BFD, why are you expecting MC to be left untouched?
I cant write a short answer , without overanalysing too much the answer.
So… let’s say that from the time you get new spells ( which are not limited by spec) , new roles in classes , new…raids(?) , and there is so much unreleased content around classic when it was its era…No it’s not the same.
It won’t really be classic, they can tune EVERYTHING as they want…they merely use the basis of classic.
And that gives them a test ground without touching classic or retail. Literally they can throw everything in the mix and no one will ask why…you’ll have 3 other variants of the same game to play, classic, retail, whatever the next classic expansion is (cataclysm now) and SoD
If you don’t like this, go to the other. They still get money…and you are happy! All win.
Honestly, that’s what they did around 2005. Mess around, add new stuff because it sounds cool, then fix and balance. It’s like we branched off from there.
Just the general gut feeling impression I’m getting from everything the SoD dev team is putting out lately, from the BlizzCon stage appearance to the streamer interviews and everything else, is that they really respect that classic vanilla philosophy. They want to deliver that and add more of the same. What they do is rooted in deep passion for the original version of the game.
With Hunters being nerfed within 24h you can be assured that end result will be different. Would be it so fun depends on amount of work Blizzards deside to put into SoD.
I love a bit of Karen creative writing in the morning
Everything OP wrote is absolute BS, servers are only just gone live, nobody has reached cap or seen the 25 raids, yet OP up here somehow knows EXACTLY what’s going to happen.
And do you realise that you’re only looking at one side of an equation? We do more damage but mobs are harder and tuned accordingly. It’s Season of Discovery, not “Season of buy my raid loot” or “Season of addons”.
With each phase Blizzard will be tuning this for fun. If you can’t handle that, then go back to those enjoyable spreadsheets, following guides and paying for loot, if that’s what you enjoy. Play whatever you feel happiest doing and leave those that are happy with SoD to enjoy THIER content.
I won’t need to as I won’t ever be doing that. Buying trophies only displays your weakness of ability and the unhealthy search for acceptance and assurance.
