[SoD] Restricted from trading, AH, mail

@Hondacvc: We’ve edited our post above with new information, this appears to also apply for Classic Era as well for the moment being.

Thanks for your reply @Saneko. But I don’t understand your new “rule.” I am clearly not a bot, I played this game for months before 2017 with the same account. I understand your wish to eliminate bot accounts, but keeping the new players in the dark is a weird approach to an MMO and a community based game. At least remove this curse from players that are obviously not bots… This week is a holiday in my country and I was exited to play this game during my spare time but my 1 month time is a week away, and I will definitely not play this game (nor any other Blizzard game) again if this persists for 1 more week… And I’m sure this is not even legally solid, since you didn’t let us know that you will ban us from some aspects of the game in advance. I started playing and everything was fine, I put 5 days of play time on my account in 2 weeks and now I can’t use some functions in the game, according to a “new rule”. You souldn’t be applying new rules to old players, if governments did that it would be horrible, when you do it it destroys the game experience. Please stop this illogical reforms…

On April 3, my friends invited me to play sod ( there were no restrictions on April 3 ) I paid for my subscription with real money ( not a token ), on April 5 I find out that I can’t use the auction, mail and trade, my bags were filling up, the bank is also full, I can’t send anything to my alt, what should I do in this game ??? Where did my money go? who received a salary from this money? The developer who came up with me to limit my game? a support service that responds with automated messages?

How should I get into the raid? if I don’t start dressing my character now, then in 23 days I won’t be competitive to be taken on a raid, I’ll skip the entire phase. so today I went into the game , stood with my bags filled , and left the game. Where’s my blizzard money? What did I pay for?

you are fighting bots and rmt. great idea, why should I pay for it? hire people who will monitor the game worlds, have I violated something that you have limited my actions in the game? Why are you fighting bots at the expense of ordinary players? Don’t you respect us at all? What should I do for 23 days in a game with overflowing bags? return my money to Blizzard, I will come back to you when you respect me. You didn’t even notify me that I would be playing the beta version of the game for the same money as the other players. after 23 days, no one will take me on a raid because my equipment will be very weak. I did not sign an agreement with you where I agreed to play in the trash without an auction trade and mail

I don 't give a damn about bots and rmt in the game , I don 't notice them , they don 't harm my gameplay , blizzard interferes with my gameplay . it is Blizzard who does not allow me to play my favorite game, bots are the dark side of warcraft and they do not harm ordinary players in any way , it is because of them that mats are available at auction , and they bring more benefit than harm to any ordinary player . I do not buy gold or sell gold, and I always thought that this topic bypassed me. but then I was given restrictions for not even doing anything

my wife has upgraded to level 17, and she can’t buy bags for herself, and I can’t help her, she has nowhere to put the aitema quest, she just left the game on April 6 and never entered it again. Blizzard it’s disgusting

The whole game is full of illogical nonsense.
I’ll be honest, you’re better off if you don’t force it.
PvE is okay, but pvp is a stinking pile of ****.
They made this new event, ruining the whole open world experience, everyone running the event only. But this event also an illogical ***t, fill you bags and your limited questlog. Its everything but fun.
This is all very amateurish, not a level that would be worth a subscription.

“Freedom and democracy” defeated common sense and humanity.

what kind of freedom and democracy is it if I’m being punished for something I didn 't do ?

That’s what I’m talking about. That was sarcasm. My friends, who were invited by me to sod, are in the same situation.

It 's very sad . I log in to my 50 hunter 1 time a day , open my bags , realize that I can’t throw anything away and exit the game , and this will continue for another 23 days. And then Blizzard will want to get more of my $ so that I can play a full-fledged game.

Refer to my 2nd link in this comment for info about Classic Era:

You may request a refund. I’m merely posting where you can review the official information as you remarked you “don’t know what they do” as quoted.

What law is exactly broken? Please quote the specific one. Also, this has been addressed here: Account restricted - #106 by Saneko-ragnaros

The exact EULA says that by buying the game it is delivered “as is” and “as available”. Technically, access is granted through gametime to all versions of the game up to your content expansion level.

Let’s recommend Blizzard managers to add a Titles for characters from a new accounts, so when they walk everyone can see that they’re untradable and restricted.

Like a big “L” prefix e.g. “Low Paid Time”

And seasoned players can make jokes on them

— Hey I can gift you a cool weapon. Ohh wait, you can’t… What a pity… I better sell it to a NPC. At least he can do a trade with me :smiling_imp:

It applies to classic era cuz devs dont know how to make it only work for SoD since it’s same client xD

I think Blizzard is onto something groundbreaking here. Why stop at only new and returning players? Lets just pop everyone into their own solitary bubble. It’s the ultimate bot solution. After all - who needs social interaction in a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER online game? Solo play for all - problem solved! You’re welcome Blizz.

There are a multitude of MMOs built without trading in mind like aq for example, look outside of the bubble that is WoW.

The bigger issue is the time of the restriction, I think it should be at least HALF of what it currently is, and that it shouldn’t apply to returning customers who literally just played sod in phase 1/2 for example.

First of all they should have announced it~ a month before it takes effect, but it’s their call. They mess so many things up I’m starting to wonder if they do some things bad on purpose, they seem so incompetent

Just checked here again to see if any updates or fix. But

im literally stopped playing the game and really don’t wanna play again. I was having fun but without be able to do these things it is pointless to play. It was easy to just check battle.net accounts and see if they are new or not. My battle.net account is around 8 years old and i was playing Hearthstone and paid things there too. If the purpose is avoid bots this is so stupid. 30 days? really wonder who take these decisions. It was a good 14 days blizzard. I’m done

for what reason do you have the right to take my money after i sign an agreement that should be held up on both ends? will you pay me back then? stop giving bad explanations and say you´re sorry to the ppl you rip off. im a family father with 5 kids and very little sparetime and you take the right to be an scammer?

As a player not affected, I think this nonsense is ridiculous and unacceptable.

I am amazed at some players patience, I would have quit and unsubbed myself.

When I bought my subscription five days ago I was promised

Q: What content is available in a WoW subscription if I choose to upgrade to one?

A: Once you upgrade your account with a WoW subscription, all game content beyond level 20 and up to level 60 will become available, including higher level dungeons, raids, and social features like guilds, unrestricted in-game chat, and the Auction House.

Now it turned out I paid for a free trial pretty much… I was lied to, this is no bueno.
, and I´m even a first time player who finally decided to buy a subscription and I get edited by moderator

Same here. That is nonsense!!

Tokens won’t count for the 30 days, so I can’t raid for more than 40 days because I have to wait for my token to run out and then wait for a fresh paid sub to run out XD
