Solo dinar progression?

Will there ever be a way for solo players to ever earn the puzzling Cartel Chips? I am strictly solo due to personal disabilities. It seems being solo leaves me far behind everyone else.
Maybe there should be a strictly solo realm with non transferable characters with the content set for solo player completion,

Genuine question - why would you want them?

I understood that the only things you can buy with them are the gear pieces that you would otherwise get in the raid?

If I am right about this, you can get the things you can purchase with them when you can solo the raid, as usual.

Since I am solo I did not think I could even enter a raid dungeon. A solo MM Hunter really can’t solo a mythic dungeon.

Nobody (much, except for some expert overgeared soloers) can solo a CURRENT Mythic-Plus Dungeon, or a CURRENT raid.

But we can all solo PREVIOUS expansions’ dungeons and raids.

One of the main things solo players do is to solo raids and dungeons from previous expansions.

The rough guideline is that, as a solo player,

  • you can solo last expansion’s dungeons, on Normal, Heroic, and Mythic.
  • you can solo the raids from two expansions ago

So: it is now TWW.

As a Level 80 solo player, you can solo all Dungeons on all difficulties from Dragonflight and all previous expansions.

As a Level 80 solo player, you can solo all Raids on all difficulties from Shadowlands and all previous expansions.

This may not be exact. Sometimes, there are fights that are harder for some classes, or easier. So you can probably solo some early Dragonflight raid bosses now, on Normal or LFR difficulty. But those are the general expectations.

Why do people solo old raids?

We solo old raids for mounts, pets, toys, and especially for transmog and achievements. Doing this, we can collect all the appearances and sets from all the raids.

If those Chips buy TWW Mythic gear, you can collect it in two expansions by soloing TWW raids. Yes, as a solo-er, you are always an expansion or two behind the curve, but that’s the cost of not going in groups.

For example, if you wanted the Twilight Drake mount, you could get that by soloing The Obsidian Sanctum raid on 25-man Difficulty and killing Sartharion while all the other mobs in the raid are alive. It’s easy! Just go to the entrance in the room beneath Wyrmrest Tower in Dragonblight in Northrend. Right-click your portrait and choose Raid Diffiulty 25-man. Walk through the entrance. Sartharion is straight in front of you. Walk sttraight across the lava, and one Arcane Shot from you will finish him. Then the rest of the raid will attack you, but as an almighty 80 they will barely touch you while you destroy them. At the bottom of the pile of loot somewhere will be the item to learn the Twilight Drake.

Looking at your achievements, I don’t see that you have soloed many raids. You really should start!

Ask if you want any tips about soloing old raids and dungeons.

Thank you. That is very helpful. I can actually craft my own 681 chain mail. But farming the Gilded crests is murder.
