Might be a bit toxic and annoying at start, voice chat is on and you can mute people, you can join with a 3 man premade.
Its better to instantly join for rbg better than waiting 2-3 hours making a group.
Also it’s good so new people with no xp get to play the game instead of getting declined.
And I wouldn’t say to replace the old 10v10 premade rbg just add a solo queue option.
You might be placed with a lot of bad people at the start but with some time you’ll be able to get higher rating and get better people with you.
It’s just a suggestion/feedback tell me what you feel about it guys.
It absolutely has to be solo queue. People joining with the rest of their 3s team would easily be able to carry an RBG at lower ‘solo’ queue rating.
PvP is in such a dire mess though solo queue has never been more needed.
It’s almost impossible for players without experience and achievements to get in a group, and groups take at least an hour to create and half the time everyone will leave after the first game.
To make things worse you can hardly do anything while you wait because you’re in a raid group (which could easily be fixed if Blizz had any interest in looking after PvP).
In a ideal world(of warcraft) it wouldn’t bother me, but think about how this would be abused in 2021. 100% boosters will try to sell this as well, and 2-3 well geared boosters could absolutely carry a 10v10 game. There would be methods as well to queue sniping, as in knowing when the queue pops to join in on your “carried” friend. That would beat the purpose of soloq being absolutely random and “fair”.
WoW today is not wow from 2005-2008. You have to design these systems with that in mind.
And it happened exactly as you said, but in this case 2 high rated players, carried games hard AF.
Imagine 2 rank 1 players, and on top of that, both of them are playing classes that compliment eachother.2 of them combined had 20 different neverending boons, insane damage and they were unkillable, able to tank 5 enemy players for all eternity…
Or mb not? They full time job boomers with RL problems and families, spend most of the time for real life problems. And login into the game not for sit in LFG or when their “friends” will come online? They don’t play this game for 8-12 hrs per day to cross-playing with 100+ ingame friends and want just push the button to play some competetive games in their game?
This is obviously pure troll but just in case it wasn’t - talking about WoW and claiming to be some kind of social hub is honestly the most cringe inducing comment I’ve ever read on these forums.
I forgot to add , I would recommend you giving a try to tbc since its playable. And tell us your experienes if you were not social how did raid gearing go on tbc…
Most likely you will pass most weeks without any gear.
A majority of my playing time was spent back in Vanilla and TBC and I also went back to play classic up to a full BiS hpriest so I’ve played a lot of it and I agree with some of the things you’re saying.
It’s just bizarre the way you came out to attack anybody who is in favour of a solo queue option and relating it to their real life.
This game is unbearable toxic now and also the player base is undoubtably ageing as it’s so intimidating and unfriendly for new players and things need to be implemented to keep up with the times.
I’ll happily play a stupid number of hours a week playing WoW but I’ll play whenever I want and I will never ever commit to playing on a certain evening etc so for me 2v2 arena is mostly the limit.
I play random BGs just for fun so it would be amazing if I could solo queue a rated BG and (if I’m influential enough in my games) actually climb rating that way and get competitive gear.
It was not my intend to attack if you understood that way.
But the truth is , we are unable to do something on forums with these posts unless you unlock support tab inside game with pressing escape and type your own opinions to blizzard itself regarding game.
Solo queue ratad battlegrounds on wow forums , waste of time since developers are not reading here.
Solo queue should only be exclusively for Solo, systems determine your MMR and it will match up with somebody of the same bracket ; for example you are 1435 Rating, you will be matched with players that might be 1488, 1510, 1405, etc… cap would obviously be 1599 until you advance to the next bracket (1600 to 1799)
Solo queue should also have its own Match Making Rating apart from the Looking for Group Rated Battleground, so players can still progress via the LFG and Solo Queue separately, and provide exclusive transmog, visual enchants, titles rewards from each other modes.
This is my personal opinion in how this system should be implemented in the rated content, I believe that everybody here has a right to enjoy the game in their own ways, since some people just can’t afford to play 8 hours a day of WoW just to push rating and progress their characters via Rated PvP, we’re playing a game at the end of the day, this should be a thing ages ago.
before we get that lets nerf burst dmg too ?
every time i try 3vs3 arena i dont last long no matter if i play good
the reason why? 2 melee burst so fast my healer cant heal me
sup with the ton of macro spammers i meet in 3s and their 230++ ilvls
219 ilvl ret is suddenly squishy vs overgeared ppl with 27 versa how is this happening?
because to me it feels like low rate arena is getting the random bg treatment
premades/ppl with good gear farming those in lower ratings for no reason
