Many people would love to play ranked battlegrounds.
Nobody wants to wait for 10 people to gather in LFG, only for one of the 10 to be AFK when the ready check starts, and then having to go through the whole process a second time when the first BG is over.
It’s tedious, it takes too long and it’s annoying.
Let us queue solo, or in groups of 3 maximum, for ranked BGs.
You might be ok with a disastrously bad queue experience but most people won’t be.
If a solo queue goes bad its on Blizz to fix it. If you assemble your own group and its a bad experience then Blizz can wash their hands of it to an extent.
After seeing the disaster that is solo shuffle, just no. They should probably give up on solo ranked PvP.
Solo shuffle is downright unplayable because of the horrible matchmaking algorithm and the amount of leavers and people that are queuing into each other intentionally.
They need a heavy hands on policy for solo ranked pvp if it’s meant to be playable.
Because of the knock on effects that these decisions have is why. Like if they added this for M+ the failure rate would go up. The implication is that people would be unhappy and the logical next step is that people ask for nerfs and they’d eventually get them.
This would lower the bar of the game as a whole.
I’ve not thought through the whole chain of events in pvp but it would likely be similar. I mean what they really should be doing it fixing balance so it doesn’t matter if its a guardian druid, prot warr / pala etc signing up and that would make the “non autoqueue” side less rubbish…
It would basically be the current Random BGs with rating attached to it. And there would be so much whine about the enemy team having a better comp, about quitters, why do they have 4 DHs when my team has shamans and warriors, why do I lose rating when I did objectives and everyone else was bad etc.
Now people do not whine (as much) because without the rating, BGs aren’t mostly viewed as serious business.
