Solo Queue Rated BGs

We got RSS, now what about RBGs ?
Just when, and remove Seething Shore, this map is pure torture even when you win…

The main issue is the community.
I never thought the Solo shuffle 3 v 3 would be so toxic, now imagine 10 v 10.
People are leaving 20 % of my lobbies and I report someone every 3 lobbies for insults.
We believe the 10 v 10 will be fun, but I am 100 % the same issues will happen there, but on a larger scale. Maybe 1-2 leavers per lobby and reports over reports.

The true main issue with Solo Queue RBGs is how you give ratings ?

Do you give ratings to people based on their stats, in this case, people will just make a dot spec and try to pump damage to boost their ratings, do you give cr on objective involvement, or on win ?

If you decide to go straight-forward and give them on win, main issue is based on rng, one individual could be potentially bad and be high rated/too much ratings for his skills because of the fact that he got put in lucky BGs too much, though, these people tend to lose, which would balance the things.

Toxicity isn’t that visible in BGs, people tend to flame the whole group by saying things related to the objective, like “play the objective”, really rare to see people raging at one individual, I’m speaking of the era when people could get pissed when losing a BG, it’s not really the case anymore, we don’t bgs for anything nowadays, bgs doesnt reward you anything, but RBG does.

Normal BGs should be the initiation to Rated BGs, the same way others game works, there’s a “tutorial” mode, and then a ranked mode, where you dont need to artificially make a group yourself, check people to see their actual value or whatever. It should be done automatically.

To someone who never did rated content, to these people again, all rated pvp content feels like weird stuff that you watch from a distance but never interact with, because of how extremely punitive it feels to play, it’s like a “bet” of some sort, you make a full groupe, you lost the time making a group which is sometimes longer than the queue + the duration of the RBG, and you lose the rbg, now you got that 0-1 on your profile, and you don’t want to queue again, because of hard “it feels” versus how hard it’s really is, so you stop pvp.

It’s alright if you are new player who want to try rated battleground, but Blizzard isn’t that inclusive to all kind of people, so they make it hard, and now we have a hardcore playerbase, and I swear quick queue would make it less toxic, since losing after a 30 min wait isn’t the same as losing after 30 seconds wait.

Edit (Also I prefer solo queue to full premades in normal bgs, or full premade of booster in RBG, it would solves a lot of problem by just existing as a function queuing without caring is way better )

rating x win

rng is bad, but its the best we can get as indiviodual play would just break the game

if u give to killing blows people will focus on execute isntead of dealing dmg and pressure, aoe specs will fall off, cc too and so on

u give it around objective people will only focus on that, and its definetely not a good enviroment as people will probably end up 4clicking on an arathi basin map and flaming eachother for who got it fast or a priest leaping u off and clicking to steal it and so on

giving it to kda would also be bad, as generally some classes just havea raw advantage to kda like mages in bg have a good way to provide support and staying alive

damage done and healing doen wouldn’t work either, as some classes, such as mages rarely top dmg when u got boomies sp hunters literally doubling you

gaining rating on victory is the only that makes sense to me, same as league, u get rng, if u r good u climb.

When it is rated it is a different story. I PUGed RBGs for some time, and I came to the same conclusion as for arenas: Yikes

100% agree with the premise. Having some kind of solo rated Q for BGs would be nice, but there are so many issues (there are endless threads about that already) with a working system here. Boosters would still queue up, and the ones landing in the enemy team would lose on purpose and such things… IDK… WoW Players ruined WoW
