Solo Shuffle Arena - here we go again - Queue Times

Hi all,

Firstly, you can’t have my gold! That’s because maybe someday Blizzard will fix/rework their mode.

Now, the issue at hand is the same issue that has been since the Solo Shuffle mode appeared: QUEUE TIMES.

I have unsubbed and not play the game since february, before first patch, reason being ofc the same: QUEUE TIMES. But after blizzcon, after knowing there is a new season starting, and ofc after hving that itch/nostalgia bait, I’ve decided to buy 60days of gametime.

After finishing all content/quests that have appeared since my departure, I said it is time to finally do the thing I actually wanted to do, and that is to play Solo Shuffle.

I didn’t checked how much the first queue time was, since these Dreamsurge Coalescence have been added in the game and I kept flying, and gathering them. But the 2nd queue took 36mins, at 18:23pm, and I was having 2341 Dreamsurge Coalescence already, like COME ON man…

The Solo Shuffle Arena game took 19mins to play, and required 36mins of dead time. This, for me, is unacceptable, so that being said, I will probably be back when another, nostalgia knocks my head uncounscious, but knowingly, I will be back when a Solo Shuffle Arena queue pop takes no more then 3-5mins.

LE: Finding this funny: “Welcome back! We haven’t seen you in a while. These are the most popular topics since you’ve been away.”

GL HF all!

Yeah that is how it is currently. Solo shuffle is BIG waste of your time because you wait more than you play. The game doesnt respect your time.

Blitz BG also is not much better, 8-15 minute queue times for dps. And sometimes a BG doesnt last as long as the waiting time is. Still better than shuffle tho.

2v2 is a joke and 3v3 via LFG is even more waste of a time. Too many inflated egos who thing that they play perfectly and ragequit at the first loss, even if you won couple of rounds before. Most people left playing arena in WoW are seriously delusional about their own skill level and how they perceive the game and reality.

When people ragequit and play the blame game, I seriously ask them every time, no matter how stupid they seem to be with their rage. “Do you really think that you played perfect that round or in general?” Not a single person answered that question with a yes or no. That is more than enough someone needs to know about the current PvP playerbase. Shuffle is no difference, even worse imho.

I also, not gonna keep paying monthly for something that only wastes my time.

I’m trying not to prioritise solo shuffle but I’m struggling to as it’s just so easy to log on and queue, hats off to blizzard I think the solo shuffle idea has been great but it does need some work done to it, the queue times are ridiculous and as Termonatir said, whats with the egos in there?! It’s pretty toxic, I’d like to sidestep solo shuffle and prioritise actual fun things like world pvp and BGs…

Level up a healer. Very short queue time. Yes, there might be also some downsides, like harder to get rating, endless CC, more stress (Why that dumb warr half dead run behind pillar and los  or watching inside cyclone timer does your team mate survive or not, trinket out or not after rake and cyclone in first seconds in game etc :D) at least for me. But yea i love solo shuffle, I gived up with DPS due to queue times and healing might be actually fun. Typically for priest at lease one of healer specs are good at pvp, like now its disc, last season holy.

I know almoust every one want to be bad guy in arena, but if all DPS had at least one healer alt, there wouldnt be queues at all.

then get blizzard to incentivize players to play healer alts and not just a “field medic pack” with crumbs of conquest, marks of honor and honor.

Playing healer is stressful, not to mention the abuse and whispers you get from DPS players. They can frankly take their hour queue times and eat it.

Every time I read this “incentivize” nonsense… sigh. There are 3 main reason why not many healers wanna play shuffle. Btw. there are MORE healers playing than ranged classes. Just as a general info for you guys. The issue with very long queue times is that there are WAY too many melee players. And the reason for that are clear, because they are absurdley over the top OP in this expansion, in PvP at least.

The main reasons why healers do not like to play shuffle (I know it, I usually main healer in pvp, but I did quit doing so.)

  • Dampening. Nobody likes to get punished for playing their role good or perfectly. It is lazy design choice. We had Mana to balance things out, but Blizzard choose the lazy way out instead of doing work.

  • Unfair/unfun design towards healers (when 1 dps goes 0:6 all other dps go 4:2 but both healers go 3:3 every time) which is why so many healers go 3:3 and have to spam games to overcome this. Which is also a hughe waste of time, when you invest hours of playing and dont gain any rating because of this issue, while every dps gains rating and climbs the ladder. You want “incentivize” healers? Change this stupid nonsense first.
You sit more in CC than playing the game. Combine this with how fast damping ramps up, you get a totally unfun exprience for healers. There is a reason why many healers perfer to play Blitz BG.

  • General unfun gameplay for healers, which also is because of too dominant melees. Too much damage/burst/one shots etc. It is way too stressful to play healer, but main reason for that is dampening actually.

If I had to choose, I take the queue times of dps over the healer gameplay issues any day. Even tho it really sux having to wait 30+ minutes. But that shows you how bad the healer experience is.

If you did quit again, can I have your gold this time?

Pwz?

So before solo shuffle, I have done only one healing thing, and that is the first Mage Tower during Legion, with my Druid, this druid, cause this was my main for years.

Other then that, because of Solo Shuffle, I have leveled my priest in disco, and also tried the pally holy, but … it feels like I’m playing the game with one hand tied to the back, this big of a gap/handicap is for me to go from melee to range and healer

Most probably I should stick to stuff like Diablo 4, Warzone, Dota2, stuff like that where if I want to play, I actually play and not wait, looking on the walls until the queue pops.

After years of 2s wasting alot of time in LFG searchin for a healer, I really liked the ideea of Solo Shuffle, but never in my naive mind did I think that a queue pop could be on avarage 20mins.

Its because of all healers disc priest is best suitable to heal SS, others feels weak in compare, and disc priests alone is not enough to drive healthly healer pool, other healers dont want to play because they dont want to be cannon meat.

Solution is simple, either nerf disc priest, or buff other healer to be in line with disc.

I dont think so. Disc priest is good this season, last season it was weak, but queue times was always long for DPS for SS as far i know.

Ofc queue times are scuffed when DH’s, UH DK’s and the Adaptive Swarm bug exist.

Neah, please stop directing the queue issue on the unbalanced game. Maybe Blizzard will see this and actually belive the queue’s fault is the DH =)))))))))))))))))))))

On a serious note ,the game is unbalanced since forever and also the Solo Shuffle queue is bad and long since its inception.

dampening should tick down slower, yes, but it is a good way of making sure that healing does not go overboard and games last for eternity.

No the solo queue wasn’t horrific until the tank change. At start the games were either 2x DPS +Healer or 2x DPS and tank.
People got mad about it, then it came the current iteration. And before anyone said they were not that many to affect the queue times, you currently have DH/Warrior/DK adding ONLY to the DPS pool…
While the game gives rating per spec. People can “farm” in one spec and push in another…that alone could create 3x the number of games played , while now it’s all about Healers pool.
So in reality , “we” (not maybe me or you, i didn’t for sure) pushed our luck asking for that change.
People back there said about balance as their reasoning, as if SS was designed to be balanced … it never did. It was designed to be chaotic and a way to gear characters for PvP, without really pushing into competitive stuff territory… It was more of a personal challenge and easy gearing for people not be undergeared and be able to step in competitive. The same format with the competitive 3v3 arena so you can start getting accustomed to.
But yeah, why have fun… i lost 3 games because “all the reasons except me” . At least we had like 3-5 mins queues in DPS, now it’s the same unbalanced thing… with 30 mins queue…
So it is not that the first iteration was balanced, neither is now… yet any spec could play . Now we have to wait until we force ourselves to heal…

blizzard dont want to incentive or make mode on equal terms for heals and dps. they even separated their mmrs. ques will remain astronomically long

Healers don’t want to play because it’s not fun healing with all the burst damage going out and constant cc’s.

Before queuing up always plan ahead what you gonna do while waiting for your shuffle. It is more about time efficiency. You can run some legacy raids/dungeons for tmog. Do some old/new content like rep farm and similar stuff. Without some activity in this waiting window you basically dont even spend your life for playing you spend it for literally nothing just waiting to play. Maybe duelling people will keep you entertained enough. It is usually in the mid of a duel when you have your q pop

I almost only face resto druids in solo shuffle.

Nerf resto druids.
