Solo shuffle leavers, why do you leave?

Can someone explain me logic behind this, if they leave they lose 200 cr, if not mostly 60-70. What’s the reason? I couldn’t finish any SS today, every game leaver. I’m not ranting or anything, just want to know why.

Edit: Also, why don’t we get the cr increase or decrease from the win-lose even if someone leaves? if i won 2 rounds and lost 3 rounds, and someone leaves, just give me cr and conquest. SS queues already take around 30 minutes at least

The leavers don’t lose mmr when they leave and they can get cr back easily. So leaving if the overall shuffle is going bad for you is sadly a way to push at the moment.

Also some people leave out of spite. About half of the Arena forums is players complaining about leavers, and Blizzard said they plan on implementing harsher leaver punishments. And they will also implement what you suggest - rating based on matches played, even if the 6 rounds were not completed due to a leaver.

I didn’t know this, they should match leavers with other leavers like in league, further punishing bad behaviour. Blizz is encouraging ppl to leave atm

I only need the conquest for the purple set. I’m not going to put up with some zug zug and there’s no point staying if I won’t get conquest.

Usually because someone on my team is being an meany and I don’t care enough to stay in games with meany

I haven’t left any solo shuffle myself but when you’re struggling cause you’re not used to arena and someone is having a go at you, it can be quite disheartening, so I can understand why people leave.

As a healer the amount of people who don’t understand that we need some layer of protection from other players. We get 1 trinket and the enemy team often has CC they can chain. I’m not gonna take abuse from someone that thinks I should be perma-immune to CC. I’ll leave and get a queue easily enough.

Another abuser in my team he had 400 cr and rest 1900, ofc he left when he lost some games that’s why he is so low cr but high mmr, i wonder when blizz is going to fix this.

I recently had to alt+f4 because I had some real life stuff going on unexpectedly.

I believe Blizz said in a blue post recently that they would change the reward system, so that if people left, then everyone would get rewarded according to each round, instead of after all rounds were done.

Once that happens it’s a big win for everyone :slightly_smiling_face:

Sounds like a problem with the system if people can get away with repeatedly leaving games. Most competitive games would ban you for that.

Well, in any online competitive game there will always be “quiter types”.

And because Solo Shuffle is so much easier to queue into since you don’t have to get a teammate first in order to queue, it means people don’t feel they have the same obligation to “stick it out” since they don’t have to answer to a teammate if they do leave. :neutral_face:

If you are a sore looser, then that extra hurdle of “having to manually find a teammate”, will incentivise more people to not leave a match. Which is why we don’t see these issues in rated arena. :person_shrugging:

Not to mention that arena games are just ONE round, and not FIVE rounds like solo shuffle is… which also opens the time gap for people to get sour and leave in frustration… :confused:

2nd reason why more people leave solo shuffle than… let’s say rated arena… is again the “barrier of entry”. :confused:

Because it is so easy to queue solo shuffle, people who would usually not play rated PvP (of any kind) will wanna give it a try. And I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that those “rookie PvP players” are the ones who leave at least 70% of the time.

These reasons are most likely why we have the problems atm with people leaving… And unfortunately those are ones you can’t solve.

Even if you put a “arena rating requirement” before you can queue solo shuffle, it wouldn’t fix issue #1 I described…

So the best “workaround” is to simple award people based on each round, instead of at the end of the entire 5 round game. :slightly_smiling_face: Which luckily they said they are working on implementing atm.

I leave if i go negativ, because if I go positiv in 9/10 games enemy heal will leave. Sadly this is the truth and the only way to go up right now. All 4-0 of 5-0 games I had I get quitted on so I do the same. And if the enemy has an evoker I sometimes just quit for the trolls. This class is a joke and needs some heavy nerfs.

Some time, if a person is rude, you can leave to waste their time. Sad part is you waste their time of 4 people, that can be problem with the solo shuntly.

I allways leave has soon someone dont interrupt right first cast.

The mistake was making the thing 6 rounds. It is way too much.

Make it the first team to win 2 rounds as it should be and you solve Solo Shuffle issues: queue time and leavers.

Mostly players that lose 4 or 5 rounds are the leavers because theyd rather not lose their MMR. Its a really dumb design currently.

Because there are definitely no problems with this system at all :slight_smile: say you queue up as a rogue and end up having to play something like MW/rog/rog vs. Rdru/dk/dh, you’re just going to get absolutely deleted.
