Solo Shuffle or Rated Arena?

hello friends from all around the world. i have a question.

i havent done rated arena in a long time, since i remember it being hard to find groups lately.

anybody have experience recently, on finding people in the LFG?

or is it a waste of time, and should just focus on solo shuffle?

this will help me in determining the class ill be playing next season. so thank you.

Yes, go affli. Solo shuffle, u wait 40 minutes for 3 melees who kill you in 2 seconds. Arenas you play with green geared random guys. With talents which dont work. With spells which dont work.

Solo queue all the way, or you can sit lfg while you are in shuffle q at the same time.

the ss is very bad… there are a lot of brain dead people even on higher ratings, because the mmr works wonderfully. I think 3v3 is the real one, it’s much more enjoyable than ss, you can also find people, I think many people use ss out of boredom, because it’s easier than looking for teammates

the only rated arena mode is solo shuffle. Do you go for premade vs premade when you play Dota? why would you do it in wow then??

Depends what you prefer. I’d say play 3s if you have partners - if not queue RSS but look for some in LFG. RSS is extremely RNG you either get a good lobby where people are on the same page so you can perform or they will grief you because they don’t play around you like Monks Paralyzing your dots or Hunter Scattering them. Affli is extremely easy to be griefed. In 3s find SP and R Sham/MW Monk and you’ll have way easier time.

Yes you do. If you queue as 5 people matchmaking system will firstly search for another 5 man stack and then if it doesn’t find any will match you with randoms. That’s literally how I played Dota 2 during pandemy. We had 10-15 people and played as 5 only. Then you can choose your roles and improve. The most fun though were inhouses where we played captain mode with bans.

Maybe it’s just me but I used to play a lot with my friends as in my early youth we played in online caffees and made lan partys. Then it expanded further. When I played WoW at the begining I always looked for the guild and that’s what I do in any other game. I looked for the Polish Dota 2 community/searched for players for Battle Cups. Once they liked to play with me they added me. Then we played with their friends and expanded it even further.
