Solo shuffle waiting times are a lie

Why tell me all the time that the waiting time is 8 or 9 minutes, when you let me idle for 20 to 30 minutes before a solo shuffle pops. I waste so much of my time waiting to play the game.

Yes, and sometimes you queue and go for a coffee or to the loo, and you’re back in 3-4 minutes to find out “Queue popped 2min 36sec” and you just missed it. You re-queue, and this time it takes 35 minutes

Next time pretend to not care and leave the room to trick the q. And then harshly come back to accept the pop.
Works for me every time.

Would do anything for our overlord, “the solo shuffle queue” :joy:

solo average que time is 10 min or less anyone saying its more than that is outright lying. friendless shufflers get to play the game a lot for waiting 10 min since solo has 6 matches total

Ain’t no way.

I’ve played some retri lately, the shortest wait time I’ve had is like 15 minutes. Longest is like 40-45 mins something, that was in the middle of the night and I ended up in a prot pala lobby where one prot pala went 6-0.

Shuffle queues can vary greatly based on MMR, how popular your spec is, etc. The 10 min average only applies to the sub 2k rating queues.

Usually the longest queues for DPS are in no-man’s land (aka rating between 2 ranks, such as like 2250) as well as the actual highest mmr queues (which are around 2700-2800 right now) - some of those high queues can take up to 2 hours for a queue pop

Spec also matters - if your spec is popular, you’re competing with your fellow spec players on the same rating to get the pop. This is because the system tries to not put 2 of the same spec within 1 single lobby. When 2 or 3 of the same specs are in a single lobby, that means there’s way too many people playing that spec.

And yet here I am waiting ~28 minutes each queue as a fire mage which I doubt is popular (despite the proposed waiting time being 15-17 minutes which is also a joke).
