I come to offer a constructive solution to the issue of Alterac Valley premades other than the usual bone-headed solution such as “ban da russianssss blizz!!!11”
Make it so that the losing side gain bonus honor (you decide, but over 200 seems reasonable for the time spent) if the game lasts more than 10 mins, considering most games last 15-17 mins and the losing team earn 20-40 honor at the end, while the winners gain full honor, hence why most people instantly leave when they see that the other team are Russians because they use the same tactic every time and it works.
In Phase 1, Alliance non-premades used to use other tactics to beat Russian premades, but that’s the past. Now, Alliance simply do not care. They’d rather leave and get deserter than spend 15+ mins for 20 honor, which is understandable.
Russian horde plays with the slogan - 0 honor to the enemy. and if the alliance gets 21+ honor, the russians get very angry and scold each other for their mistakes.
There is no problem, so no solution needed. If you want more honor, stop losing, it’s as simple as that.
Stop running in like lambs to the slaughter, thinking you are going to get to do your little PvE race at Balinda, because you KNOW by now that it isn’t going to work against Russians.
That makes sense. Can’t really say I blame you with how our Western corporate media, imperialistic governments and corrupt oligarchies treat Russia.

There is a problem; it’s Alliance immediately leaving the BG at the start of any Russian Horde AV. I always stay and try to counter, but I am one player… so do I stay and suffer for 15-20 mins to get 20 honor? that’s really flawed. If you don’t think it’s flawed, then why did Blizzard change it in Wrath of the Lich King so that losers get more honor?
Also I am not crying at all, I am simply suggesting a solution since we have a lot of cowardly players on EU Alliance who don’t even want to try… they have no drive in them to try and counter tactics. They give up instantly, so there is no hope.
I feel you man. I was speaking in regards to the system, not the situation that you find yourself in.
You need to change the culture and mindset of these people to where this kind of behaviour is looked down upon and no longer acceptable. In my experience when it comes to EU, Horde has always been a bit better at this, but even they have started acting like cowards.
It is not a one man-effort, but it can be done with time and determination.
How come, can a normal server dong AV, have people from Germany, UK, Europe and other countries doing the same AV together? While we almost never seen russian coming on our mixed AV’s.
How come is it possible for Blizzard not to track and trace the russians doing premades all the time on 1-3 days period?
I dont hate russians, its a game and political real life issues will not make me judge the russians player base. But what i think is missing from Blizzard is some more attention to those premades teams, using discord and almost all 40 are russians??? Its against the eula to misuse and exploit the game. So where are the ban-hammer or bettar you let those servers automaticly that tries to join the same for premades over and over. That they get on a mixed server like the rest. I dont mind horde or alliance needs to fight over a long battle. But premades is just being farmed.
Im so tired after 16 years Blizzard is not doing anything against it! How COME!?
Levelled a shaman recently here, on Flamegor RU. Started joining AVs for some honor.
I saw no premade organization or any major communication in chat during the battle. It’s not even needed to do it, since only ~20 Alliance managed to get to the Field of Strife. So I am still searching for this “magical” discrods.
If Blizzard really wanted to address outdated PvP system issues they would be doing improvements better than simple HvH. They could:
take honor from leavers for fleeing battle ground.
award some honor to players staying.
make reinforcements system and allowing for match restart with both teams keeping portion of the honor earned, if one team gets decimated by deserters at the start of the match
In other word make everything to break honor/per hour meta that we have that leads PvE players into PvP just to avoid PvP all together.
Just randomly shuffle them in with every other battleground group, just like all other players in the EU. There is no reason why they can’t understand English in this day and era, the majority of the player base here is using it as a second language besides their native language. I see plenty of french and german players in my English BG, plenty of polish/danish/swedish/dutch/etc on my english server, and nobody has issues.
Shuffle them in with rest of the players and the premade stops.
We study English only for a certain profession. It’s just not taught that way. Everyone who speaks English plays in the EU.
Again, all you have to do is just play. Get together and fight back, only then you will start to win. There are no pre-mades, no discord voice chats, no tactics and coordination, there is only fun to fight. If you don’t believe me, just pay attention to what the Russians will be equipped in the next AV. Just play.
wake up, no one has been collecting premades for 5 months now, pvp discord is dead, all AVs consist of pugs who have learned tactics and play only on it.
So then why not be shuffled in with the rest of players? The EU has 30+ languages and most of us need to participate in English despite not being our first language.
Again it would solve any idea there would be a premade and since everything is randomly shuffled you can get to convince your other random team mates to follow a strategy every time you end up with new people, and see how it goes ;p.
eh, everyone speaks enough English for a random BG. Half the time our AV gets spammed by french/german add-ons and Chinese Kanji proverbs about peach blossoms. You will fit right in.
