Solution to solo shuffle missing enough healers issue

Hello,
as title says I would like to suggest a possible solution to improve solo shuffle queue system by increasing number of healers. I believe there are similar topics already but I do like to give my opinion on this.
If we are to assume that there is already a low and high-priority queues, then:
Blizzard should introduce a daily or weekly quest, bound to an account, for which you have to play 10 games as a healer on your account in order to get into high priority queue. Maybe with an additional condition to win those 10 games. In addition, PVP healers should be allowed to gear faster.
This will for sure be a benefit to everyone who is an arena fan to play healer first and then queue as DPS…
Thank you for reading!

healers have deflated pool compared dps for shuffle and the nature of shuffles design will always favor dps its a paradox, only way is increase heals in the pool and none plays heals because everyone thinks the same

only way is stop them climb on deflated pool versus dps having easyer time on inflated pool when even beginner level people can see its 50x more easyer to gain rating on something like arms example than go heal these shuffles

fact is they would need to introduce rating gain for healers with artificial inflation increasing/reducing rating gain/losses but they wont

even the whole design of the system to begin with is flawed for heals when you have 4 dps rotating around but only the healers keep facing each other every round

no thanks

we don’t need ppl to create alt just to lose 10 games and grief teammates in order to have priority queue on their main, that’s absolutely toxic proposition

there are not enough healers, because healing is frustrating, if we want more healers, it needs to be solved

it’s not fun losing games because a teammate didn’t press CDs

You didn’t read carefully, I wrote:

That will force them to win not just play 10 games…

Rest of your comment I won’t even reply it’s just showing frustration… be little patient… :>

I think we might eventually have to find some artificial way of attracting healers but i think fundamentally we just need to change the game mode around to make healing more enjoyable. For starters substantially reduce the amont of dampening currently in the game in favor of mana pools being the “tiebreaker” would do alot to make healers less miserable. Another thing i think would increase game quality alot would be to always enforce 2 casters, 2 melees and 2 healers per game. This also solves the issues of zugzug lobbies aswell as the issues of one melee into 3 casters.

Before this shadowlands burst fiesta u sit in arena 2 hours for 6 matches cause nothing died but u atleast played and have some fun. Now u wait 2 hours for fast 6 rounds cause healers not enjoying this burst fiesta and noone have fun :joy: Logic say go back to previous option

I don’t like the sound of this… it would feel like you’re being punished for not having a healer alt.

There’s an easy solution to the queues though it’s to make SS 2v2 with DPS vs DPS being allowed. Of course it seems like Blizz wants everything to be E-sports and maybe they have an idea for shuffle eventually… and you can’t have 2v2 with no healers in e-sports because the games would end too quickly but your average player would probably prefer spending 5 minutes in queue for a quick 2v2 brawl over 30 minutes for a slower 3v3 so it’s just a matter of priority… I’m sad they chose to enforce this 3v3 healers required system instead of experimenting with 2v2’s in shuffle.

It becomes even bigger mess than is now…Whole 2v2 become boosting tool for real money boosters that will happen.

Um no? Lol. Wut?

This basically means, all hybrid classes have a pure advantage progression wise while pure dps are forced to have a alt.

Heres the facts.

Solo shuffle was a failure, bexause as usual when u open the flood gates to 0 player control and automated queie system the player quality drops and becomes more frustrating.

Being a healer for a randomized group is and eill never be fun.

Healing in df pvp is less fun then usual.

Nobody wants to heal randomers. Its snnoying their terrible 9/10 times and withojt the filter of premades, its become a bottomless cesspit.

Randomized queues. Will never work, and nobody will ever wanna be anytging but dps in them.

That’s why I’m saying they should experiment with 2v2 DPS vs DPS queues. Give an option for people queuing SS to pick between 2v2 no healers or 3v3 with a healer on each side. I can guarantee the first option will be more popular because people don’t wanna wait 30 minutes just to play the game. Would it be good longterm when a meta for no coms 2v2 DPS shuffles forms? I don’t know but it’d be worth trying out.

So let’s recap.

We started with “I don’t want to sit in LFG waiting for partners, give us rated SoloQ, that’ll fix it.”

Now that the player base at large has ascertained that one role is fun and the other is not, we’ve arrived at “I don’t want to sit in LFG waiting for healers, give us rated SoloQ double DPS 2v2, that’ll fix it.”

My giga brain 500 IQ will now attempt to predict the events following the introduction of a hypothetical rated SoloQ double DPS 2v2.

“I don’t want to sit in LFG waiting for partners to play a bracket where only Rogues, Druids and Hunters are viable.”

Honestly I’m almost excited for them to try it, I give the average arena-goer a week of getting ran over by zero-counterplay openers from double stealth before they give up and threads start cropping up, asking for rated SoloQ 1v1.

current system of healer vs healer gain rating is so bad, as dps u fight vs other 3 ppl mmr and it mix, for healers its just 1v1, i had several times having 250 more rating than enemy healer, doing 3-3 and getting -45 and minus alot more mmr, doesnt feel good

all blizzard has to do is increase conquest earned by 10-15% for healers. Would probably cut waiting time for dps by half

Why is everyone’s idea always about “forcing people to do something”

I dont think its even a deflated pool but something wrong with the system which makes playing not fun as a healer/ frustrating.

I was on my heal 1,8 cr 1,9mmr, a mm hunter with 1,7 cr went 1/5 but got one lucky win against me because miss movement between me and my dd ( which happens with no voice is fine ).

But this 2/4 gave me -43 rating

playing again , 1,8 mmr lobby ( crazy drop ) , we have a 0/6 mm hunter and both healer go 3/3 = 0 rating

Next round , 3/3 again with a 0/6 fur war. 0 rating for both healer

18 games played for -43 rating ? Yeah rather log on to rogue and wait 30 min then play healer

dps heal ratio is 5:1 or something like that, its deflated, also like mentioned you only fight 1v1 with the other healer and the matter that there is no new healers it is x% mostly healer mains

yep thats why the q’s will stay long no matter what blizz try incentive unless they do real changes, as long as its multiple times easyer gain rating on dps the que will stay long and shuffle will lack heals except the heal mains for multiple years playing their heals which ironically are now starting to try roles like arms and other easyer dps as style of play for this mode

Wow, the “priority token” system bonus is such a bad idea it’s hilarious, and everytime I see someone suggest it I just roll my eyes.

If someone gets priority for playing a healer, then you essentially just make queues even longer for everyone who doesn’t. It fixes nothing. Stop suggesting that.

Give healers more rating and people will play healers. Right now, it’s easier to get rating as dps so of course people don’t want to heal.

If you want priority queue, then play healer. Throwing some games as a healer, just because you want to push your DPS is super-bad idea.

It forces people to play something they don’t want to play, they’ll just throw games with healer just to win some, even if they grief teammates and have 10% winrate at ±1600, so they could play their main at 2000+.

Just NO.

As I said, there are not enough healers, because it’s frustrating to play healer. Want fast queue? Queue as the healer.
Blizzard should make being a healer fun, rather than frustrating. Pushing as a healer in Shuffle is horrible experience.

We should probably talk more about how to fix healing, rather than bad non-solutions with priority-queues.
I say that as somebody who does play both DPS and healer and would benefit greatly from stupid decisions like that.

I hadn’t played for 10 days, today I log into the game and queue for a Solo Shuffle on my mistweaver.
I’m laid-back and just wanna have fun, nothing too serious, my mistweaver is around 2000 cr.

First game on Blade’s edge arena I’m with hunter mage against double war (fury + arms) and holy priest.
Game starts , I run behind the pillar put my port there, put my statue mid map , my team mates , instead of going mid map right off the bat, they stack on top of me so the warriors rush us all, and instant fear the whole team. I refuse to trinket.

My hunter jumps, starts trying to kite them below the bridge, and is obviously lining me when I get out of Fear.
He dies, I check his cds and yes you guessed it, he didn’t use a single defensive (while purposely lining me), neither heal, nor pet sac, let alone turtle.

Then I receive a lovely whisper from the said hunter : “idiot heal you’re trash”.

Pretty much the healer experience in a nutshell.
