(Writing on behalf of my boyfriend, who can’t post right now)
He’s also been getting the error #132 message a moment after he presses the play button. The game window doesn’t even open.
He doesn’t have any overlay programs on, and he’s updated Windows 10 and his graphic card.
Any clue what could cause this?

UPDATE: the problem was solved by running WoW as admin.
Does he have MSAA on? Tell him to go into the Advanced graphics section and turn off Multisample Alpha-Test. It’s bugged right now.

Unfortunately he can’t even get to the character selection screen to change settings, since the error message pops up after he presses Play on the Battle launcher.
use the launcher to reset his in-game settings, after and if you manage to log in: switch to directx 11!
I also had 132 and this worked for me. keep MSAA off btw, patch seemed to have broken support for this

Sadly that didn’t work either, he reset his game settings in the launcher but still can’t even get into the character selection screen. 
Let him try a WoW repair. Does he have Discord on? The overlay seems to also be causing issues right now.
He did a WoW repair and turned off Discord, but nothing seems to help. We’re at a bit of a loss here.
im getting same error, at best if I get into game it lasts around 5 seconds, I have rebooted 4 times now, removed addons everything and still cant play.

The problem has been solved - all that had to be done was run WoW as administrator.
