SOLVED: Deleting all my seven lvl 80 characters

SOLVED: The 25%xp BUFF persists, even if you delete all your level 80 characters.

So I want a new start, no alts anymore. After 9 years in Azeroth, I start now as a Human warrior on a new realm.
I got seven max level chars and so I got 25% Warband mentored leveling buff.
If I delete all my seven max chars, will the buff persist?

I would imagine so as it is tied to your warband but you can just test it if you want to know for sure. You can always restore your characters.

Only real way to start fresh is by creating a new bnet account.

Thanks for your answer. Yeah I just want to have one char. Would be stupid to delete an account with the new brutosaur mount etc. I’ll try it, restoring is limited one character per day.

For me this is the perfect ‘You think you do, but you don’t’ moment.

I started a new account awhile ago to start ‘fresh’ no mounts/gold/gear achievements. But you soon quickly realise that you really have to go through so much crap to catch up with where you were on your main account. Not forgetting that some achievements are nearly impossible to obtain now due to needing group content that nobody wants to do anymore.

Edit: Nevermind I just realised you are still keeping one toon.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you wanted a completely fresh start to try and regain the “new” feeling.

I’m creating new account every year or two when I want to play on new main character. Works for me. What’s crap for you is fun for me, exploring lands, opening flight points, leveling pets and so on.

Having to buy new expansion sucks, yeah, gotta pay for my whims. But not having old achievements on new character is actually a feature, it’s not his achievements.

Thats fine. But you arent making any progress, you are just doing the same thing over and over again. Someone like me who likes to collect achievements and mounts. Creating a new account just doesnt make sense considering how hard/rng and needing groups to do basically obsolete content, its just not worth it.

As sowee has stated only a new bnet acc is new start yes ?

You delete ur toons ok cool…
But you keep gold and all xmogs collected.
Not to mention your achivements which will include raids that youve cleared.
sooooo.

Its not rly a fresh start…

Now ofc if you decided to go fresh that would also mean you buy your xpacs new as well.

Unless it has been fixed now. Just make sure you have transferred your gold to another character because oddly enough its the only currency that does not get restored and returned. I lost 800k like that a few years back.
