And ppl that never played Vanilla wrath should not be able to comment on it either then because you guys seem to want the worst possible experiences that wow ever created, crossrealm and LFD.

Server merges with faction balance in mind? Yes.

Cross realm? Go to retail.

Personally don’t see any difference with cross realm and Firemaw right now.
Firemaw is that massive, it’s effectively a cross realm group anyway :person_shrugging:
I personally had no issue with cross realm in retail.
If it’s the “toxicity” side, then Firemaw also has that a lot.
If it’s the “community” side , then Firemaw also doesn’t have that as it’s that densely populated.

You never played WotLK retail then. Because if you had you would have known the impact LFD had on the community. And yes there is a community on Firemaw, it is not a “i know every person on it” but you do see ppl that you have seen before.

I have played since the original TBC :person_shrugging:
Classic is way different to the original expansions.
Firemaw is pretty much exactly the same as cross realm.
You can do a dungeon and never encounter the guy again as it’s that densely populated lol.

Please stop spamming my thread. We’ve all seen your opinion. Thank you.

No one said it was retail experience. They said cross realm, which it infact is.

Yea, I have actually, I know that, but it has been extremely few times.

Merge all servers into one giga server.

No cross realm it ruins my RP experience. Also remove gender change from barber shop. Thanks u

Lucky then that I played Wrath retail from prepatch zombie event all the way to Halion, eh?
And by far the most fun I had in it, apart from raidlogging my Mage, was levelling alts via RDF during 3.3 patch. RDF was literally the best feature of Wrath imo, best addition. It brought me more fun gameplay tham Ulduar or ICC, which I of course also enjoyed very much. I am still beside myself with anger that Current year Blizzard wants to rob me of it. Every time I remember it I am torn between raidlogging Wrath or outright quitting.

No it is not even close to being crossrealm or anything like it.

Few is more than none.

Riiiight… if you say so. May I ask if you believe in santa too?

So, what’s exactly the difference with cross realms and Firemaw exactly?
Firemaw = 20-30k+ players.
You’d literally need to add every other realm on alliance together to match that number.(PvE and PvP)
I played on Firemaw, it is effectively like playing on a cross realm retail :person_shrugging:

The issue is that firemaw in itself is already like a connection of 4 realms, because it has 4 layers in the open world and is basically the size of 4 healthy realms aswell. You can imagine it like a cross-server realm between 4, and then it should make sense to you. The issue is that, if you don’t wanna spend a long time as alliance to form a group, you will have to go on firemaw. This however is causing long queues, and when wrath comes out, the queues will be waaaay longer than now. Just think about how much more popular wrath of the lich king is than the fury of the sunwell patch on its own. Considering how many people play on Firemaw or wanna play there, it’s obvious that there is a huge demand for not wasting time in general due to purely QoL issues. Social interactions usually happen within your guild anyway and there’s nothing social about a pug of 5 people clearing a heroic without talking to eachother at all. Even in retail I notice that the social interactions I have with randoms in M+ is the same, if not even more than in classic tbc dungeons, even though it is cross realm, and I also sometimes add them in my friends list to reinvite for future M+ runs. What I wanna tell you is, that the only way to make people transfer off Firemaw is a guarantee that they won’t have to deal with playing on a dead realm, and there is no better guarantee than being able to do heroic dungeons and maybe normal mode raids cross-server. Hardmode raids should stay within your server.

What is the difference on a banana and an apple? Both are edible.

Cross server wont save low pop realms, do you guys even know the history of WoW? You insisting on staying on dead realms is not gona be saved by LFD, you wont have a guild, you wont be able to raid, you wont have an AH. Your realm will stay dead.

Possibly the worst comparison and take I’ve witnessed on the WoW forums as of yet. Are you trolling, or just chronically imbalanced?

For one, Ion Hazzikostas himself (game director) in recent interviews acknowledged that cross-realm LFD in its original iteration as well as LFR, killed off the social aspects and so they wouldn’t want to go down that route again.

And regarding your weird politically-infused comparison (considering that basic human morals are viewed through a political lens in the mind of the unhinged) I’ll just leave you with this; there’s many ways people can avoid getting pregnant by taking reasonable steps, birth control, etc.

For one to openly be “pro-abortion” (pro death) because of unfortunate cases were women get taken advantage of, speaks volumes about that person’s psyche and rapidly declining mental health and so trying to even have a reasonable conversation with such; never mind a debate, would indeed be pointless.

Love that you never actually said what’s the difference between the two.
You’re just deflecting every time.
Firemaw is effectively 5-6 realms combined, if not more :person_shrugging:

Imagine servers like Razorgore, Ashbringer or Mograine with cross-realm BGs and arenas removed. Sorry, but all those from-day-one Firemaw players have no clue what does it look like on dead realms.

Don’t propose a change if it does not affect you. Removing cross-realm PvP would be 100% destructive for all non-Firemaw realms except Gehennas. And if same-faction BGs are removed as well, RIP Gehennas too.
