[SOLVED] How do creating legendaries on alts work?

I need to get a legendary for the quest to complete.
Is it possible for me to get the same legendary I have already collected on my main? Or do I need to get a new one?

Also im pretty sure I saw that in 9.1.5 the legendaries would get a 100% drop chance but when I played through Spires of Ascension I didn’t get the legendary. Could it be because I already collected it?

0/1 Runecarver Memory Restored

And I guess that that is the legendary?

Dont you kill the rare in maw? It has been a while so I don’t remember. I have 4 DHs and never had a problem with this unlock even though I know all possible legendries.

The world boss? Or which rare?

" I spent a week trying to get the rune carvers memory to drop from Odalrik with no luck for this quest. I misread the quest thinking the Runecarver Memory Restored was a drop item. BUT in actuality, they just want you to return to the rune carver and right-click the Orange Runecarver power in your bag to restore the runecarvers memory. Such a headache, I think they should rename the task in the quest. Hopefully this helps someone."

I haven’t gotten that in my bag.

I have just bought the pants and 2 missives and he wants a legendary power
