SoM Transfers

I thought that would be people just going on their TBC characters to prepare for Wrath, most people who play on SoM, in my opinion, play on both SoM and TBC.

I still can’t how now that you have a blue reply telling you when it may be you are still pushing to have the date moved, I understand why but not the reasoning you are carrying on with it as you have been told by a blue when it will be.

Exactly. Everyone has left SoM to Tbc and have no intention of raiding or playing it anymore, per losing 1 guild and 40 raiders per week, hence we are requesting transfers for the reasons said above (safely recruit for new communities knowing our friends can join, transfer our progress etc).

Also, blue post says “about 11-13 months”. I replied to him that I, and others urge them to open dialog to make 11 months the maximum and ideally even before that, 11 months is too long never mind 13, which is absolutely ridiculous - there will not be a single raiding guild at that point.

Just like their prior information drop, there is no clear date or plan. Just like we went around in circles during earlier conversation - we are still requesting a date and for their “about 11-13 months” to be set as 11 at most.

That’s the thing, Kaivax does not decide these things, it’s well above their pay grade. I don’t doubt that they have put your request to the right people and got the answer they supplied earlier.

Really? Someone reported this, to avoid Kaivax seeing it? Bad sport.

Which is why i stated in my post: " TALK TO YOUR TEAM - URGE THEM TO OPEN UP TRANSFER EARLY."

And giving up, isn’t worth anything, Dottie, it makes zero sense, to not allow it.

Except their team are not the ones who decide either. Kaivax is Customer service, this decision is probably down to the Devs.

Well, lets hope they are talking about it, this very moment, as you and i sit here, and make comments on this thread.

I doubt it, it’s about 5pm now in California. They are probably going home.

I do hope they discuss it. All I can say to anyone who wants this is to make suggestions ingame about it, that way they will get to see it but I feel the decision is made already.

It’s just so incredibly clueless and dumb of a motive, to do it, “Just because”, and not look at the facts, that you, and many of us others, are shouting at them, get what i mean?

Cause there is SO many reasons why to do it, and only really a: “Just because” on their end, about this decision.

I know what you mean but 50% of the population of SoM contacting them about this is not really that many people but they make take notice if the people who are just passively wanting this actually become active in the request.

I do hope they change their minds but as I have said I feel it’s set in stone.

Even if they do decide to do it they then have to decide how they are going to do it, which knowing Blizzard will take another month.

Well that’s another issue indeed, the remaining population is so small the voice of the realm is tiny in comparison, and ultimately it appears SoM could be a forgotten “we’ll think about it in 3 months” job which would create a variety of issues which can easily be avoided for the SoM guilds and communities looking to move into Era/Wrath. The amount of effort or outlook for SoM with prepatch now is going to be completely non-existent too, which is another worry.

Can you elaborate on this?

More players for ERA would be welcome. i, too, think Blizz are shooting themselves in the foot with the current canopy of low pop servers. Addition of SoM players to a single PVP and PVE server would be an injection of life.

But I suspect Blizz will keep to their timelines, even if SoM servers show flat 0 pop until NOV

Can’t we do something about this? Cause those who want to not fall behind in SoM, should be allowed to transfer, or at least get the option to pay for an early transfer or something?

A LOT of desperate SoM players here, both for Classic Era AND TBC/WOTLK Servers.

I hope so. SoM IS a ghost town. I just checked …

But blizzards ways are mysterious, and wow classic is just such a small deal to them. Probably in the rounding error - they made 100m USD from Diablo immortal in <1 year. No point dedicating any resource to SoM with its handful of players …

There were 3 Alliance players online earlier, at around 4:00pm today, on Ironfoe, and 2 on Horde side…

SoM is LITERALLY ghost town, and to have to wait 3-4 months ONTOP of this? That’s a death sentence, and only holding back players.

SoM is over, now let us transfer.

Agreed! Start the transfers so people can start planning and making preparations for WoLK. No sense in continuing to be in a dead realm and can’t play!

We’re promised free choice Era/Wrath-C and also a blue stated it will happen 11-13 months after launch od SoM, We can continue asking, but we have had an answer - or two

Nevermind Ironfoe, today currently at 11:46 ST there was 12 Alliance online and 4 Horde on Dreadnaught… and I’m quite sure a few of them were bots too considering they’re on the bot watch.

I play on Quel’serrar - “lots” of hc players there - at least 20 of each faction

Yeah, but it’d be wise for Blizzard, to actually start allowing transfers, as you may or may not see, the majority is tired of SoM, they might’ve given their take on it so far, but they might change their mind, just like with allowing SoM Characters onto Wotlk servers.

Exactly, and Kingsfall is gone now too, i just checked at 11:47am, currently 12 Alliance, 4 Hordes.

That’s odd, when i checked around the 11:45 mark, there were only 6 Alliance players and 2 Hordes.
