Some spell graphics, animation and sound effects significantly inferior to the past

Replaying the warlock in MOP Classic, besides shedding a tear at seeing fantastic abilities and synergies lost over the course of the expansions, I noticed that several spell graphics and even sound effects are significantly better than the current ones.

The shadowbolt with the skull and “purple&black smoky” tail, the incinerate with the “realistic” fire effect, and the classic serpentine path are the most emblematic cases, but the immolate effect itself is decidedly superior and doesn’t appear as some kind of lava as it does now.

Overall, it’s amazing how, by modifying the UI (I use Dragonflight Classic UI), the game is in some ways decidedly superior graphically to the retail version. I don’t know what you think, since it’s always a matter of personal taste

Old Incinirate or Shadowbolt looked better than Retail ones.

Warriors Shield Slam. The old one was way better, with an impactful sound. The new one sounds like someone hitting a dustbin lid with a stick.

they should add a “classic” texture you can toggle on and off.
It could also be seen as a performance mode and not just for the looks

Why textures, when they can just add a glyphs.

However, replaying MOP Classic, I realized that this is true for several classes. For example, monks had clearly visible and well-crafted animations, real martial arts moves. Now can you understand what they do when they deal damage? I just see a glowing thing in convulsions with sound effects that shoots from one side of the map to the other at a crazy speed.

I don’t even want to talk about shamans; now they look like spaceships from old arcade games

Old shadow bolt animation was sooooo much better.

The cast animations were much better looking too. The dark glow around my hands was so well in tune with the overal look and feel of the class.

The entire Warlock class was butchered over the years, it’s incredible.
Stop killing this class !
