Holy fire/purge the wicked: I know some people just love this more than 20 year old spell effect, but lets be objective, its 2 lines of blurry orange dots, and purge was added in legion, its just off putting considering how good light’s wrath or wake of ashes looks.
Single target priest heals:
Not as bad as holy fire, they did receive an update in Cata, but still, compared to how paladin’s heals look priest feels lackluster. Not bad in a vacuum, but compared to the other holy healer it just doesn’t look that great.
Some druid heal effects:
The least severe example, its healing effects aged significantly better than others, but I’d love to see it brought to the next level eventually. Only brought this one up cause some effects are just as old as Holy fire, but aged realy well, for example rejuvenation looks pretty to this day, it just could look a lot better.
Spell effects and models of DK’s summons:
Again, not bad, just old and a little out of place.
There has to be more that didn’t come to my mind, but I hope whoever receives updates as a task will do their homework.
War within will bring hero talents that are supposed to bring even more class fantasy to the game, so its a great opportunity to give neglected classes some love. The covenant abilities on the talent tree are getting updates to match their classes rather than covenants, so I hope this is a sign from blizzard they care about class identity and making all of them shine in a unique way.
I still await for mortal coil to become more than red-green sprite that farts mountain dew waves
Some old spells are better imo. Shadow bolt was so much better as a flying skull.
Matter of taste.
But old warlock spells are very cartoony sketchy
I’d take that Shadowbolt to make it no longer a purple Frostbolt with a curved trajectory.
I think all Spellcasters should ask for an option to use their staff in their animations.
The main reason I struggle playing a caster is because the staff is basically sitting on my back doing NOTHING.
not to much flash tho. and jingle jangle.
hurts my eyes in dungeons and such.
and its hard on the memory. dont have much. and a potato comp.
Yes, should have pointed this out, not saying everything should be a flashbang, but they have their place in moderation. I mean spells like holy nova or lay on hands. For example I’d update priest heals to feel less “agressive” than paladin heals, and have their unique flare. Prayer of healing and HW:sanctify should be the standard in my oppinion.
Priest’s shield really needs an update… they gave mages one for theirs quite awhile ago and entirely forgot about the lame looking Priest’s one.
