Some Users Posted Offensive/Inflammatory Replies In My Thread, Which Is Against The Rules

Hello, so I posted a Thread about one of my favourite Lore characters (Lady Sylvanas Windrunner) in General Discussions category in the Forums. And there were some trolls that posted pointless, provocative, inflammatory replies in my Thread, solely because of the fact that they disagreed with my Thread and they don’t like Sylvanas. And of course, I reported the trolls who posted those pointless comments.

However, I see that they are still not banned/suspended after I reported all of the users that posted the inappropriate comments, because I can see those users can still post new replies, while their posts were clearly was a violation of your Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement.) They even went as far to call Sylvanas… some offensive words that I don’t want to say here, and those inflammatory posts have received various number of “Likes”. Some people are… I don’t have a word for this…

I replied back against those users to tell them, that their behaviour is wrong, maybe in a slightly aggressive manner. And I told them that all they do is post pointess, inflammatory comments, because they have nothing better to do. There is a clear difference between disagreeing in a civil manner, and posting inflammatory replies for the sake of “disagreeing.”

Besides that, there is even an emoji for “S… word” and some users in that Thread posted it on their inflammatory posts, so do you endorse that kind of behaviour while it’s clearly a violation in your Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement? So I would like an explaination about this situation.

I think this is not a way of reporting a behaviour that violates the Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement. However, I wanted to ask this.

And for reference this is my Thread about Lady Sylvanas Windrunner, which I’m talking about:

Edit: And before anyone else, other than a Moderator says “Just report them, and move on”, which I DID. So I would like some official explaination about this.

Like how there isn’t ANY action taken against those users who post those kind of comments that against the Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement.) And how is it that they can still post new replies after I reported them. It shows clearly there isn’t ANY action taken against them. If you are strict about enforcing your Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement), then those users must be punished for posting those kind of comments which are clearly is a violation of Rules (Code of Conduct/End User License Agreement.)

You are the second person today, to fail to realise that these are PUBLIC forums, and as such anyone can reply to your thread. You cannot restrict it to “Moderators Only”.

Secondly, moderation of other sub-fora, is down to the community managers, not the technical support team.

Finally, you won’t get an “official explanation”, they never have and never will explain their moderation decisions to end users.

It looks like you FAIL to realize that I don’t restrict my thread to “Moderators Only.” I just said that I already reported those players, but I have yet to see action is being taken against them. And I was asking about, how is there even an emoji that is “S… word” ?

Not only that you FAIL to realize I don’t restrict my thread to “Moderators Only”, you also FAIL to realize that you have an understanding problem. It’s not like you were forced to reply to my Thread, I already stated that I was looking for an official response from a Moderator.

Personal attacks are prohibited on these forums, maybe its you who needs to read the forum terms and conditions. But that personal attack does give me some insight as to why your thread attracted the kind of replies it did.

I didn’t even start the personal attacks at all on that Thread. Are you serious with your replies here? I just posted a Thread about one of my favourite Lore characters and those users were the ones that posted those pointless, provocative, inflammatory in my Thread.

Also another thing you FAIL to realize is that posting in PUBLIC FORUMS does not mean you can simply post offensive and inflammatory comments, just because you disagree with someone and you don’t like their Thread.

There is a clear difference between disagreeing with someone in a civil manner and posting inflammatory comments for the sake of “disagreeing”. I wouldn’t be really surprised if you are one of those “Sylvanas haters”, which is why you think as if I was the one to start a “personal attack” in that thread. I doubt that you even read my Thread and my replies in that Thread to talk about your made up “insight.”

In that case it’s you that needs to read the Forum Terms and Conditions. However, I will just ignore you as well and I will wait for an official response from a Moderator, because it doesn’t worth my time trying to talk with you about things you FAIL to understand.

I’m sorry, but you won’t get one. We don’t even know who the moderators are - though unless things have changed, I don’t think they’re part of Customer Support.

If you think a post is breaking the rules, report it and move on. A moderator will review it and, if they agree, punishments will be meted out. Length of punishment tends to depend on previous offences. It looks as though there may have been a clean up as I can’t see problem posts this morning (though don’t have time to read it all).

That said, she is a very divisive subject and people do get quite emotionally involved in or against her character, so a thread about the good and the bad things rather than just adoration might have worked better.

We don’t discuss report investigations or actions taken on the Forums.
